I worked all evening in the heat and when I got there exhausted no one was at the front desk or answering the phone for half an hour.
The next night I put my take out dinner in my room, and went out to the pool. I was suddenly told by a very rude security guard that the pool was closing NOW and I said okay.
I was gathering up my things when he came back out and yelled “the pool is CLOSED! You need to LEAVE!” as if I was refusing to leave.
When I tried to get back into my room the door lock was broken and no one could open it until 7AM. All my food, medications, chargers, clothing, toiletries were locked in the room.
I asked to borrow a charger brick ( we all know they get left behind. He told me the convenience store is right next door. So no chance of a toothbrush.
The room the switched me to had loose drywall that rattled LOUDLY from the air conditioning all night and I got terrible sleep.
I had asked to book another night before I knew about the loud rattle and if I could get it discounted or comped to make up for me having to let a meal spoil and buy all new toiletries and a new phone charger would be appreciated.
In the morning I asked the front desk to make sure they had me booked for another night.
When I got back from work that evening the key didn’t work, the front desk rude guy said that I was supposed to check out at 11 .and told me he would let me in to get my things, so basically kicked me out.
There’s a reason this place is so cheap.
