Hotel Melby was a great hotel. Very clean and awesome staff. Very convenient location within walking distance of restaurants, bars and boutiques. Rooftop restaurant had very good food as well. Will definitely stay here again!

This is a nice hotel with friendly staff. It is in a great location with plenty to see and do in the downtown area. The only downfall is the noise from the street. We stayed on the 10th floor and still woke up to people racing on the streets. You do have to pay for parking as well and it can be limited.

Lovely Hilton Hotel in downtown Melbourne.

The Melby is a lovely hotel, with very helpful, warm and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. Bed linens were very comfortable. The only minor flaw was the awkward placement of the pump for hand soap which was located on the wall quite far from the sink. In addition, the bathroom mirror is quite far back from the edge of the sink, which juts out quite a bit. A makeup mirror would be a good solution. We would definitely return to the Hotel Melby.

We could not sleep as a train passed by every hour of the night. Even though we were on the 8th floor, the bars and train noise from near by did not let us sleep. Additionally, we booked this hotel for the convenience of having a restaurant and bar. When we went to have dinner, we were notified that they were fully booked and unable to accommodate us. If you advertise a restaurant and bar, you should be able to accommodate your guests

There is no parking | Staff is rude & don’t help with questions or concerns | our place was very dirty upon arrival | there’s people consistently coming in out of the hotel due to the public dining area on the rooftop. | I would never stay here again.

Nothing special about this property. For my Hilton Honors membership, I got two 'free' bottles of water. Not very impressive. Train whistles and traffic noise all night.
