Unacceptable room conditions and deceptive service Our stay at Hawks Cay was a series of disappointments. Upon check-in, we found black mold near the AC vent and a heavy mold smell. It took 4 hours to be relocated. On day 3, our toilet flooded, and the hot water vanished—leaving my son shivering in the shower after only one minute of lukewarm water. While maintenance fixed it once, the hot water failed again for the final two days. To top it off, checkout was a disaster. We were promised credits for resort and parking fees if we showed our Amex booking, but the staff member who made the promise disappeared. The replacement staff member denied the policy existed and was dismissive when I tried to show proof. No apology, no credit, and zero accountability. Very disappointing for a "resort" experience.

property is nice, but they dont have it in good conditions, very disappointing service, beginning with mannager with bad attitude with our celiac allergy. Would not recommend anyone with allergies to visit this property, the have no staff prepared for it. Rooms area are dirty and overall the staff isnt friendly at all.

The mattresses were horribly uncomfortable and the ceiling fans all made clanking sounds. The heated main pool was fantastic. The views were pretty nice. The food was good but expensive, the coconut ice cream at Angler and Ale that is used for the banana split was the highlight of our trip! The lagoon was absolutely nothing special at all, felt like being near a pond. Overall it was pleasant but not worth the drive.

Overall a great stay. Very nice and clean condo with its own small pool. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed the tennis and pickleball facilities. Only areas for improvement were the initial delay in room being available from housekeeping and need for more service staff around the pool area.

They are under new management; while the staff was very nice they were completely understaffed. Had to clear our own table; waited for drinks; front desk was understaffed; couldn’t get ahold of ai phone number they give you to get what was needed; most staff didn’t understand English to be able to ask for what you needed. Their computer system also combined our two reservations and we were luck to get the last room.

We stayed here as a last minute option after our airbnb was a scam. The shower was broken, the toilet barley flushed and the water ran all the time. There was always a line at least 8 people long at the front desk. When they cleaned the room they took all our towels and didn't leave us any so we had to go get them each time. Will not come back and would not recommend to anyone.

The staff was nice but they were extremely short staffed. While we were at their restaurant the system went down (twice at two different restaurants) and the food took over an hour to be served. We tried to enjoy the amenities and have fun despite these issues. Would like to come back at a later time to hopefully have a better experience. Lastly, a pile of dirty sheets and towels stayed in front of our door for the entire duration of our stay (2 nights).

Room was very clean and refreshed every day. The whole resort was clean and well maintained. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation was right there on the resort

We rented a villa, it was clean but a lot of things were broken and damaged. No outlets worked in the bedrooms to charge our phones. Bathroom had so much water damage, tiles popping up off floor and floor was bowing. Exhaust fan made crazy noises in bathroom downstairs. Kids kept getting locked in bathroom because doorknob was wonky. Sliding doors were messed up downstairs. Clean but not worth it for the price. However could not beat backing up to the ocean where my son could fish all day. Lagoon was small and crowded, especially closer to weekend. Golf carts way overpriced to rent. The bikes were fun, but very hard to find more than one or two at a time. Area was beautiful, staff was great, but felt hotel, food, amenities way overpriced for what it was. Had a great time, but villas and amenities need some work.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities

Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom door was difficult to close/slide. There was no hook to hand the cloths. Toiletries were good. Resort has lot of facilities/amenities. Cafe and restaurant have limited vegetarian options.
