Poor systems...IT in particular Could not charge anything to my room so if wanted room service, if I didnt have cash, I would need to go to reception to pay...defeats purpose of room service. This applied to the restaurant and spa. This was just an example.

Liked the friendly service and the excellent location very close to Manila Bay walk also very quiet unlike most city hotels. No dislikes.

Comfortable staying and very nice staffs

Clean and comfortable, very nice and helpful staffs, spacious room, bath robe and slippers provided. Lobby and lift a bit small. Overall a good experience staying there. Definitely will recommend to friends.

Beautiful hotel. I loved everything about it

Pros: It looks very classy
Cons: Everything is pretty perfect.....i wouldnt change anything
Location: Location was pretty central to everything

I liked the room.Its big spacious and clean.Whenever you request for service, staff are prompt and friendly.This hotel is very near shoping centers.I will definetely come back again.I actually extended my stay because I like the hotel

Good Hotel in a desolate area

Pros: Restaurant, rooms, relative inexpensive nightly rate, close to MOA
Cons: two areas formerly a bar and indian restaurant on the top floor that would add significantly to the property if opened.
Location: Taxi rides always necessary and is a problem due to scamming by taxi drivers.yOU ARE BEING SET UP WHEN THEY SAY "berry trappiks"..
hotel was good but the area had few facilities of note.

Nice building in the red light district

The Amarda hotel was possibly once a grand hotel and could be again if the entire ground floor staff were replaced including the restaurant staff. Our first 1.5 minutes seamed okay with doors opened for us and luggage X1 portered to the desk,then I noticed odd sideways glances by some staff at my wife who is Philippino,it was not until we settled in our room that smelled of damp sewerage then headed out to find somewhere to eat that I noticed the street was lined with prostitutes and not a restaurant in sight so headed back to the hotel and its restaurant. I ordered the crispy pork knuckle and my wife the filletmignon, we were the only customers in the resturant at the time ( 8.45pm)and settled into our conversation only to be rudely disturbed by waitstaff setting up bainmaries for the breakfast sgift, I complained to the head waiter who assured me it would stop,les than 1 minute later there crashing there way again so I confronted the waiter again and asked what time the resturant was open till ? 10 pm was the reply so asked if they could set up after we leave which he agreed with. Our meals arrived my wife could not cut her steak so I offered to help but couldn't achieve much, my Pork knuckle which was purported to be and I quote' fall off the bone' was made up of bits and pieces of pork knuckle strategicaly placed to look like a full knuckle but amazingly and I can't be totally sure but seeing there was absolutely no meat Assume it was someone's leftovers,dont go there !

Should have stayed elsewhere. No compensation.

My goodness, I have a massive list of things that made this a terrible stay that you'll have to excuse the length! I checked in to this hotel with two male friends who stayed in a different room. We were all told that we had been "upgraded to a deluxe room". It appeared to be exactly the same room I ordered but I was happy. Upon reaching the room, it stank like someone had chain-smoked in there. This was after my check-in speech from reception that the room was strictly non-smoking and that penalties applied. When I called reception to ask for another room, she told me they had no more rooms. When I said it stank she offered to send up someone to spray deodoriser around. I said yes it didn't help. She did not offer me a discount on my stay or any compensation for providing me with s disgusting-smelling room. At this stage it was late and I was staying in the hotel to stick together with my friends, so I didn't want to split up by going to another hotel. My friends were also told that the rooms came with one king bed. My friend who booked it informed them that they had requested two double beds. Again, reception told them they had no other rooms. They were not offered any recompense for this inconvenience either and had to stay in the same bed. The shower took 10 mins to warm up enough that I would call it 'hot'. It never created steam. I know it's tropical, but cold showers are not my idea of relaxing. Although alone, my extra towel & robe were removed. Disappointing.
