The hotel is cool looking but the rooms were not very clean. Hallways weren’t very clean. The staff at front desk were amazing and super friendly/helpful. The beds were cheap and not comfy. The windows were not helpful with blocking out sound, you could hear conversations outside very clearly, ALL NIGHT LONG. If someone moved something on the floor above it was very very loud. The sky bar isn’t open to the public during the week. Only Thurs-sun. Bathroom was quite small and not easy to fit in, no counter space. Not enough towel holders for a room that sleeps 6.

My stay at this place was great overall. The staff was friendly, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. However, one downside was the noise. I could hear sounds from other rooms, and the housekeeping staff made a lot of noise in the early morning, moving furniture and cleaning. It was a bit disruptive for a restful stay. Other than that, everything else was excellent!

Real Gem in the Centre of Madrid

SmarRental Collection Gran Via Capital hotel is in a great location in the centre of Madrid often within a walking distance from major tourist attractions. The staff members - both at the reception and at bar/restaurant - were super friendly from the moment we arrived to our final 'adios'. Our room (a bedroom and a separate living/dining room) was very comfortable and quiet at night. We also had a fully equipped kitchen which is great for a longer stays or when travelling with children. The roof top swimming pool is an added bonus - and no doubt makes a visit to Madrid in summer months magical. I would warmly welcome this hotel for both short and long stays.

We only stayed one night , the location is central BUT there is a nightclub that blasts music till early hours and you can’t. sleep . The heater did not work until hours after we arrived they put a space heater to warm room while we waited for heat to work . TV did not work , no hand towels in shower , only 2 towels total . Sofa bed mattress was paper thin and terribly uncomfortable. Overall I would NOT recommend or ever stay here again . It’s an overpriced Airbnb . Yes , I brought this to staff attention and they said we could move to a smaller room and offered no discounts to do this. They noted the broken TV and simply said maintenance wasn’t working so it couldn’t be fixed for us.

First, the location is outstanding. We walked 10 minutes to Museo del Prado, Plaza de Cibeles. The room is like small apartment with space enough for 4 -5 adults. We had terrace with a jacuzzi. Even tough the hotel is in the Gran Via Ave we did not have any problems with the nouse of the cars, etc I will repeat this hotel in my next visit to Madrid.

Excellent service and location

Location and service at the hotel was incredible! Personnel at the hotel was very friendly and received us with a cava and offered us complementary drinks at one of the hotel’s bars. Location is closed to the Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Puerta de Alcalá, Parque del Retiro, among others. Great places to eat close by like “Vinitus” (for great tapas and desserts), plus lots of stores for shopping. We had an amazing time in Madrid. We were a party of 5 and the apartment was beautiful, very comfortable and equiped with a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. We will stay again whenever we come back to Madrid!
