This is a very comfortable place to stay. Also economic for the budget traveler. We always stay here when visiting Halifax. Would recommend it .

The hotel is good value and well located. It's in need of a bit of a facelift, like some new corridor carpets, but otherwise is fine for an overnight stay. The aviation museum next door is worth a visit if you have an hour to spare too! On the negative side we had to request the bar staff to unlock the door to the lovely sunny terrace which they said they'd kept closed all summer because of noise and dust from construction next door - although it was all peaceful while we were there, and far nicer than the shady outdoor area they were directing customers too. The worst aspect of this hotel though was the use of single-use plates and plastic cutlery at breakfast despite the restaurant using proper dining implements in the evening. Haven't the management ever heard of the environment. Airports and their environs near to be better than this!

I have stayed prior to new ownership and after. It is now a very comfortable and convenient place to stay for the airport. The parking and shuttle are great, the staff is polite and listen to your needs. They have added a free continental breakfast as well as a more upscale paying option I would stay again in a heartbeat

Friendly hotel

I have stayed in this hotel of a couple of occasions and it has now been taken over and had a upgrade over the last year, reception was nice and open and clean and very pleasant staff who swiftly seem to check us in, no offer of help with suitcases just directed to lift. Room was nice and clean with two large beds. Restaurant is run independently from hotel, it had a very good choice of food at reasonably cost. I used the swimming pool which was very nice

Tired, needs more upgrading

Appears the hotel is undergoing a long term upgrade but it’s still tired, and needs more work especially in the common areas. The carpets really need to be replaced, they are dirty and torn. I will say our room was okay, fairly comfortable and clean. The breakfast was foam plates plastic forks. Very basic offerings. If you just need a place to sleep for a few hours after a late night, as was our case, it’s probably okay but I would choose somewhere else.
