The unit itself was fine, but the host interaction and check-in process were extremely frustrating.The entry instructions were never sent with the confirmation message through the app, so I had to reach out to the host. He immediately sounded irritated that I contacted him and insisted he had already sent the information, which he had not.When I arrived, the door code didn’t work. The assistant tried walking me through using the keypad even though I explained I’m very familiar with these locks. The first code didn’t work, the second code didn’t work, and eventually the owner called sounding angry and saying he owned the whole building and the one next door, which felt unnecessary and unhelpful. He eventually unlocked the door remotely after several failed attempts, which made me late for an online appointment.After I got inside, he called again just to tell me I must have entered the code wrong and that it had to be my fault.The next day the code I was given still didn’t work and had to be changed again. That final code worked for the remainder of the stay.Additionally, a neighbor’s visitor repeatedly blocked the alley with their car while playing loud music and smoking outside until other cars honked for them to move.The unit itself was acceptable, but the communication and access issues made the overall experience unpleasant.
