About 10 minute walk from Paddington station. Good sized rooms for London. Helpful and efficient staff. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Good wifi and rooms had a work desk. Lots of restaurants and underground stations for different lines close to the hotel.

Firstly, positives- the rooms are clean, quiet and the shower is decent. The staff are the best thing about this hotel. So kind, polite, helpful and go above and beyond. Beds are comfy, Negatives- I asked for a cot. They gave a cot with no mattress instead they had put bath towels in the bottom with a sheet over the top. I explained this isn’t safe for a baby and I need a mattress. They don’t have one. Come on thistle hotels that’s so poor! Look up lullaby trust and learn about safe sleep! The manager, a mum herself was mortified. House keeping came up, offered a duvet, again I explained safe sleep, said they would go speak to reception but no call 25 mins later. Call reception, she apologised profusely and moves us to a family room whereby we can put the single bed on the floor for our child. We had to pad this with pillows so he didn’t roll out but the room was better. Bit of blood on one of the bedsheets but we just removed this. Morning- breakfast. Asked for two poached eggs and two veggie sausages as an extra. Came after 10 mins. Two bites of veggie sausage and they were raw. 10 minutes later I’m throwing up and really unwell. Again staff apologised. Also the 3 lifts didn’t work the whole time. One occasionally worked. Luckily the staff understood I couldn’t take a child, pram up 8 floors so we used the service lift but come on! Sadly, although the staff especially both male night reception manager and female dark haired one were amazing,it’s not worth a return

The hotel was genearally good and in a great place. The check in and check out process was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and mostly clean but there was some dirt / debris on the floor under the unit and the top of the unit had something spilt on it. In the dining room I saw a member of staff pick up some serving tongues from the floor and put them back onto the food for people to use!

Very good welcome. Liked the fact you could miss housekeeping and get a £7 reward. Room took a long time to warm up and duvet not big or thick enough meaning a cold nights sleep. Didn’t eat at hotel. Very clean room with lovely towels and good tv but no extra channels. Friendly staff

We arrived early and the gentleman on reception advised we could check in early and was very helpful with lots of info regarding the area and getting around. We dropped our bags in the room (and although a little small seemed clean and tidy) and went straight out for a day & evening of sightseeing. On getting back to the room at approx 2330 it was extremely cold, I tried turning the heating up but it was just blowing out cold air and we then realised that the window was open and we were unable to close it. As I was already in my pj’s I tried calling down to reception but it just kept ringing out so my husband for dressed and went down to reception. The man on reception was not very helpful and did not really seem very bothered but advised that he should come back down to reception once we had packed our things and he would get us another room. He did not offer any assistance with our bags or for anyone to fix either the window or heating. At almost midnight I then had to get dressed, pack and go down to reception. We were given another room which was lovely and warm but there was a loud humming noise that seemed to be either a boiler or possibly the main air-con unit. Breakfast was adequate with a good selection of cereals, pastries, cold meats and the traditional English breakfast items. There was a leak from the ceiling in the restaurant on the first morning which had not been fixed and seemed to have got worse on the second morning.

The room wasn't the best as there wasn't a door to separate the rooms. For a room for four people there were only three towels and three cups, even though we asked for another it didn't arrive. The bedding was covered in makeup and when we asked for it to be changed this wasn't completed either. Housekeeping was rude on the morning of checkout even though we still had an hour before needing to leave. The prices in the bar were high considering the area wasn't exactly spectacular.
