Good hotel

Nice hotel with a super friendly staff. Quick check in and the receptionist came with me to the room to show me the amenities. Room size is ok but my room 202 has no view…A wall view. Soft drinks, milk, water and biscuits in the room are all free. The location is very good near most of the theatres…Many cafes and restaurants nearby.

Great location. Close walk to Covent Gardens, underground is 2 minutes away. Restaurants and entertainment are close. Good experience overall. Room was spacious with a king bed and a couch. Clean and great service.

Overall good and enjoyable stay. Convenient location. VIP benefits never mentioned, as with previous stays. Don’t really think they take this part of their arrangement with Expedia seriously. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, but otherwise all fine.

The front desk was extremely helpful as was a seamless check in and return of security deposit. The hotel is very clean and extremely convenient for walking the city and exploring. We felt very safe as there were nights when we were at shows that did not get out until after 10 PM and we walked back to the room. What absolutely book again.

I absolutely loved my stay at Middle Eight! The room was super modern and stylish—exactly my vibe—and the bed was insanely comfy. After a long day out, it was the perfect place to relax. The whole ambiance of the hotel was so relaxing, and honestly, the staff made it even better. They were so kind and attentive, always making sure I had everything I needed. It felt like a little oasis right in the heart of London. I’d definitely stay here again!

Excellent location and service, plus a lovely hotel overall. The only issue we had was that our room was noted as an upgrade, but ended up being next to the elevator that squeaked loudly throughout the day and night. We didn’t want the hassle of moving rooms and would still stay there again as long as we’re in a room away from elevator.

Nice hotel, but let down by the breakfast

The hotel is beautiful, and the reception staff were very friendly when we arrived, offering us a welcome drink. We were also really pleased to be able to check in early, as we weren't expecting this. The room itself was really nice with plenty of space, and having things like a coffee machine and loads of lighting made it more pleasant to stay in. However, we did have a couple of issues. Firstly, when we tried to get to sleep at 12am we could hear some loud bass coming from somewhere. There were earplugs in the room but they didn't really do the job (and there was only one pair for the two of us), but it did get quieter by about 1am. The room was double-glazed so there wasn't much more the hotel could have done about it. Secondly, we had issues with breakfast. We arrived at 9.55 (I believe breakfast was served until 11) and were told that they were very busy and it'd be a thirty-minute wait. They told us it was table service, but that we could help ourselves to juice, pastries, fruit and cereal. Unfortunately, there was no juice and hardly any pastries were left, and things weren't being topped up very quickly. After 30 mins, nobody had even come to take our hot food order, and food wasn't coming to other tables very quickly either, so we decided to leave. The staff were very apologetic and we weren't charged for our breakfast, but it was a bit disappointing. It would have been better to either offer a buffet or to ask guests to book a breakfast slot to avoid long delays.

Nice hotel, shame about the breakfast service.

The hotel was lovely, clean spacious room with everything you need in really food condition. Reception service was great. Location also great, just down the road from Covent garden. Up until breakfast you couldnt fault the hotel at all. But breakfast couldnt really have been much worse. No fruit, hardly any juice, no toaster. In fact nothing. We had to wait a good 10 minutes to be served and then another 20 minutes wait for the cooked breakfast to arrive which was great but the toast was missing and our coffee didnt arrive at all despite chasing. Not enough staff so management at fault. Get a toaster and provide more sides and you would have got 5 stars.
