Very nice, modern and clean place. The staff were very accommodating and the place was in a great location, close to the tube station.

It was awful, given that it was summer my criteria was based on a hotel that provided air conditioning, which is why we paid more and selected what we expected would be a well run and maintained hotel, given it was under the Rydges banner. I have been travelling overseas for more than 20 years and have never been more disappointed in a hotel and have never sent through a complaint before. Not only was there no air conditioning, but no effort was made to repair it or compensate us for our inconvenience. It was expensive, hot and uncomfortable in our room, we could not sleep and it ruined the last 3 nights of our trip. We will never stay with a Rydges hotel again.

Cons: The lift. The blocked bathroom basin. The staff unhelpfulness.
It was not up to standard. What more can I say, see below

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: The tube station was just nearby - and there were restaurants and pubs close too.
I loved this hotel. The location is ideal. I caught the Tube from Heathrow directly to Gloucester Road and the hotel was about 100 metres away. Not only that, the hop on/hop off bus stopped right out the front which was so handy. The room had everything I needed as a solo traveller. It was tiny but clean, really comfortable and the shower was fabulous. There are restaurants and bars nearby - and the staff were just so friendly and helpful. I would go back in a flash - and highly recommend it to anyone.

Great hotel in an excellent, central location.

I loved my stay at the Rydges. The hotel was so close to the tube station with easy access to London's attractions. Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful.

Great location, clean and friendly.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, decor, staff. The rooms' high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows were a delightful feature.
Cons: Quality of room service menu items and speed of delivery.
Location: Supermarket (Waitrose), tube station, hair and nail salons, patisserie and a KFC on the next block. Near Harrods, Hyde Park and Natural History Museum
Compared to a later hotel experience in London, the Rydges 4.5 star rating is totally justified. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Tube station super handy. Close to Harrods and Hyde Park in a so called posh (quiet) part of town. Top marks for cleanliness and decor. All they need to be a 5 star in my mind is add bathrobes and a shoe shine service, put some fresh flowers in the rooms and improve their 24 hour room service offerings. Special shout out to the underrated hotel restaurant's Aussie barista Blake for making one of the best coffees I had my whole London stay. Cheers!

Good standard hotel in a fantastic location

Helpful, friendly staff. Location close to tube, cafes and restaurants. I think interior of hotel is due for an update and rooms are a little tired, but otherwise a petty comfortable stay.
