Great in all ways for families with more than 2 people. Just 10minutes walk from the most touristy area. This area has it all, but a little less frantic, higher quality food, higher end shopping, etc. We stayed in both areas and this felt better: We like action, but also need something a little closer to normalcy (of the country) if staying more than a night or two.
