Great day for the price, good breakfast

Hotels in a beautiful location on a plaza, very walkable to everything we wanted to do. The lobby is gorgeous, and there is an area behind the lobby, which is exquisitely, beautiful, but unfortunately smells a little bit musty with hints of sewage. The breakfast was ample and adequate if not delicious. But I appreciate it. It was open until 11 AM. The rooms in the beds were comfortable with air conditioning. Our room was definitely more spacious than our kids room. We had a bathtub, however, there was no way to plug the drain. It was an excellent day for the price, but if you’re particularly picky, it might not be the place for you.

The hotel is in a very touristic area with restaurants and shops. There are two beautiful churches steps away. The location is very central and busy. Our room was a family room with 4 beds with plenty of space. The room was beautifully decorated and it had two balconies overlooking the Main Street. If you’re sensitive to noise then bring earplugs because the noise from outside doesn’t stop until 4am. I would stay here again.

Comfortable stay. Wifi signal was ok. Location: Very good. Close to major attractions and super easy to get to public transportation spots. Metro station is just a few feet from hotel main entrance. For Lisbon standard of an early June stay, this hotel was reasonably priced.

Pros: Location to restaurants & Uber pickup, plazas with entertainment, nice-sized & attractive room, good light in bathroom, great breakfast buffet. Con: A difficult staff member at check in; wardrobe finish peeling badly; poor lighting in room itself & only 2 electrical outlets (none near coffee machine or the mirror in room); very minimal toiletries provided (all-in-one soap in shower; no lotion); additional towel rack so towels could be hung to fully dry so they could be reused would’ve been helpful; no washcloths available upon request.

great location but there was a cproblem with rhe elevators. The day wew were leaving one elevator was not working and other would otstop on our floor.One of the staff saw us struggling with our bags and carried them.down for us!

Good: Great location! Buskers in small square were great and can be tuned out by closing windows. Room was spacious and clean albeit the whole hotel could use a refresh. Bed was comfortable and large. Air conditioning worked (not needed in May/June but essential in July/August). Great location! Subway stop in the square and loads of restaurants nearby. Trams run up the block. Not so good: Photoshopped image bears no resemblance to the actual street and vibe of the hotel. It is a bustling wonderful street with lots going on. Not sure why they would fake it and make it look like there is a deep square out front?… There isn’t. No wine glasses in room or available at desk… Seriously? Breakfast is okay and extensive but doesn’t have much of a Portuguese vibe. Good coffee and Pastel de Nata. Tired ham and cheese with watery eggs. The Bad: Desk clerk who checked us in could not have been more dis-interested in guests. Had to ask basic questions about internet and neighbourhood. Nothing volunteered. Received minimal response to questions and incorrect advice. The Ugly: Above noted desk clerk advised us that breakfast was 10 Euro’s per person when in fact it was included in our room. We only found this out when checking out and went to pay for the one breakfast we did have at the hotel. The clerk checking us out said it might have been one of the summer students who work there…… it was not. Dude needs a hug, a vacation, or a new job!

This hotel is right in the middle of things, close to the water, shopping, and lots of dining options! The hotel itself could use some investment, as things were pretty run down. We also couldn’t find plugs in our room until we moved furniture, which was a pain. Overall, excellent location, okay amenities.
