Excellent staff and location

The staff is very nice. Location is excellent, many dining and shopping options you can easily walk to. Harry’s was my favorite for higher quality food and screens to watch my favorite games. Parking was excellent. The facility was nice, rooms were not new, but not completely tired yet. It was overall a very good experience. Be sure to get a room on the entrance side if you don’t like highway noise.,

Most everything was ok. There were some things that we didn’t like. The water in the bathroom sink was partially clogged, no microwave, bathroom fan didn’t work, and there were a few stains on blanket.

Unclean property with horrible customer service

Upon check-in and looking at our room, the reservation and the room we actually received were completely different. Approach the front desk and they told us that it washotel.com‘s fault and that they had no double rooms for me and my four children and my adult daughter two adults for kids total. We were asked to make do with the bedroom with one king size bed, and a pullout couch. When I was standing in the lobby, looking at the furniture, I noticed that the corners of the arms of the chairs had vinyl tape like duct tape to keep the rest of the chair from fraying. Additionally, the kids wanted to go swimming at the indoor pool and given the rain that the area experienced caused the sewer drains in the pool area to back up on the deck of the pool area. Nothing was mentioned about this when I checked into the hotel. The hotel refused to comp me any credit or refund for the mistake in rooms and the non-cleanliness of the area itself. The tub in our room also did not close properly so I was unable to give my smallest children a bath. Breakfast the next morning was a joke, powdered eggs, and French toast, no juice, no milk, just water and coffee. After observing the untidiness and not clean areas we chose to not eat breakfast. There would not recommend this property to anyone with children or when booking through Hotels.com.

I made the reservation when I was traveling and almost to the exit. I noticed I chose Friday night and not Thursday night which was the night I needed. I pulled into the Parking Lot and called Hotels.com. The representative told me he couldn’t change the dates unless the hotel agreed and I said I am at the hotel and will go in right now. So I went in and asked and she said they can’t change dates because Hotels.com is in charge of that. Hotels.com then called and I was there with her while they talked. They decided that the Mgr at the Hyatt, Leah (I have her last name saved somewhere), would have to “ok” it in the morning and I should just get a room (it was almost 10 pm). I did so. I stayed there. It was run down and I think the Holiday Inn Express, across the parking lot), was much nicer, lower price. Many mistakes on my part here. The “bar” is the same counter as the check in counter. They still refuse to give me money back on an accidental keyboarding mistake and the place was not nice. Don’t stay there.

Hair from previous people on bathtub wall never cleaned in 6 days we were there. Restaurant and bar is a joke. It’s literally an extension of the checkin counter and you can bring your food to small tables next to checking counter. No microwave. Pool is heated but room is cold because of vents to outside. Hard to get pool towels because people at desk do bar and restaurant. Key doesn’t work to open pool door. So you need them for that too. Noisy on Saturday but ok rest of week. Lastly breakfast is very underwhelming. Same everyday. Scrambled eggs sausage and hash browns. Toaster for bread and bagels but waffles come prepackeged. Some juices, milk,coffee or tea and plain donuts hole. Always the same everyday.

They need to replace the pillows; there was no microwave in the room. They should change the breakfast options. We could not connect to any streaming apps; only on-demand options were available, and the room temperature was not well-regulated (we could not get it to a comfortable setting). The stay was good, just a few minor things. Our pillows were super flat and offered little support; plus, feathers poked through the fabric. The breakfast was the same both mornings. There was no microwave in the room, but there was one in the lobby, which disappeared in the morning. Also, most hotels we have stayed at recently allow guests to log into their streaming apps. All we could find were their on-demand movies and cable selection.

Overall, a nice hotel

Conveniently located hotel relative to 75 and Lexington at a reasonable price. Especially as it includes breakfast. Staff are very friendly. Nicely designed room makes the most of the size. Living area has a foot stool that doubled as a table. We used it to play a board game on. Drinkware is real glass or ceramic, rather than plastic cups. Makes the wine we bought taste like it should. TV rotates between the living room and bed area. Shower has large pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Bed is firm, but comfortable with thick sheets. The only downside we had was the lack of charging ports. Just two that are on the clock (easily missed). Pool was clean, though could be a little warmer. Also needs a repaint. Relatively quiet hotel with good sound deadening to the other rooms.
