STAFF was extremely polite - friendly - even had a sense of humor when I expressed to them, I stayed there for 2 yrs- 5 yrs ago- liked the upgrades- the convenience of the Donkin being built- The only thing I did not like- and you really could not help it - when the Motorcycle Barcade pulled into the same hotel- all you heard was motorcycles revving the bikes- but there was a RALLY going on down he road ---so that explains that---

Stopped late at night while on a long road trip. Beds were clean but the bathroom was not acceptable for our expectations. Multiple clumps of hair (not ours) and just general run down conditions in the tub area with a build up of scum and hair. We chose not to use the tub/shower as it just felt too unclean. We will not be staying here again.

Underwheming

We arrived late, and check in was easy. Our rooms were on the 2nd floor, and there was no elevator. Difficulty finding the room. Once in the room it appeared clean but small. My room mate discovered that her bed was vibrating, we could not find the cause of it. Then we read a review stating there were bedbugs which freaked us out. I did look at the mattress and the was no indication of them fortunately. The breakfast was better than expected.

We arrived to check in and had to leave immediately without checking the room, due to working an event in Lewiston. We got to our room at Midnight. The blankets smelled like body odor, the bathroom had dirty handprints in the shower, ceiling and doorframe in the bathroom, the floor was not swept in the bathroom. I cleaned the tub myself with the bar of soap provided and a wash cloth and most of the prints came off. The tip envelope left on the desk was the insult to injury. Is there a quality check in place for cleaning? There needs to be if there isn’t… and if there is, it isn’t being done. Most expensive hotel I’ve ever paid for and it was by far the nastiest. Listen to the bad reviews on this one.

The room reeked of smoke, the TV remote did not work and took two visits to the office to fix, the stairs near our room were loud with patrons night and morning, the cleaning staff chose to clean our room while we were washing the smoke smell off of our clothes in the laundry room and-still using the room and had not checked out yet. It was not even near the check out time.
