I don’t generally write negative reviews, but we were looking forward to this stay, and were ultimately disappointed. I think what made me write this is that in their guest book inside the home, many guests dating 2-3 years ago had similar concerns or suggestions and it appears they have not remedied most of them. The pictures of the home make the house look cute, trendy and up to date; however, I feel like for the price we paid, we were quite displeased. The neighborhood was not what we were expecting for that price point. The front porch looked awful. It needs a quick pressure wash, new paint or stain. Front lock sticks a little upon entry (5 min adjustment to locks), repaint front door, Master sink doesn’t drain properly (also should be quick fix), master tub has access panels that won’t stay in place (command strips), extremely dim dining room lighting, tons of bugs in basement, trash/old washers/& just junk in basement, replace stained towels/wash cloths, linens, probably need new rugs or rugs to be washed. At first glance, the house looks clean, but then you see lots of stains, dirt, scrapes, etc on doors/walls. It’s regular home maintenance and also replacement of home goods that need to be addressed. If we had paid significantly less, I would’ve looked past many of these concerns. I hope my review helps the owners to remedy many of the issues we had, but they’ve clearly known much of this from past reviews in their guestbook and made no effort to improve the home.
