History

Lake Como (also known as Lake Lario) is shaped like an upside-down Y simple and is 146 square kms in size. It’s been a popular spot with the wealthy for centuries, and the Romans were the first to build villas there.

Things to do

Take a ferry ride and visit some of Lake Como’s towns, like Bellagio, with its old buildings and cobblestone alleyways, and Como city, with its cathedrals, curious museums and unique monuments.
