Our family had a wonderful stay at Cross Hotel Kyoto! The location couldn’t have been better—easily walkable to two train stations, the Gion district, Nishiki Market, and countless amazing restaurants and shops. It made exploring Kyoto so convenient. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. Every morning, my family and I looked forward to it—it was fresh, delicious, and such a perfect way to start the day. The variety and quality truly exceeded our expectations. The hotel struck the perfect balance between comfort, convenience, and access to everything Kyoto has to offer. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto!

Really great location central to the markets, river restaurants and train stations all within walking distance. The hotel itself was on a smaller street with an amazing onigiri place right out front. The hotel had a nice and spacious lobby, lounge area with unlimited green tea and coffee. It was the perfect meeting, hangout spot for our big group (it was rare and hard to find spaces big enough for our group to just lounge together in Japan). The rooms were spacious and clean with great amenities, large bathroom sink area (also rare and hard to find in most boutique hotels) and plenty of room for our family of four. Staff were helpful and friendly, area felt super safe and it was one of our favourite hotels of the many we stayed at throughout our trip.

We stayed for two wonderful nights at Cross Hotel. The hotel was a perfect base to explore Kyoto as it is situated on a quiet street but also centrally located within 5-10 minutes’ walk to many shops, restaurants (Pontocho Alley is just around the corner) and different bus lines. The property is spacious, modern and inviting. We gratefully accepted the Expedia VIP benefits of the room upgrade, late check out and 20% off restaurant voucher. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast, which was included in our room rate, was fantastic, offering wide variety of western and Japanese options. It was a great way to start our day. Our room was MASSIVE, with a cal king bed, beautiful double-sink bathroom and a nice city view. The room provided all the modern comfort and convenience we needed. The Harman Kardon speaker was a plus! I highly recommend this hotel when visiting Kyoto.
