Not within walking distance of a beach!

We loved the bungalow we stayed in. The accommodation was very comfortable with a lovely pool and bar area and was about to be refurbished according to the reception staff who were lovely, however it is listed as being a 1 minute walk to the beach. That might have been the case before the resort across the road was built, but now you'd have to walk at least 30 minutes to get to a bit that hasn't been claimed and blocked off by private resorts. Cars and motorcycles are available for rent quite cheaply a few doors down and are necessary if you're staying here. There are a few nice restaurants just down the hill but no 7/11 etc.

The front desk staff didn’t have our reservation. It was pre-paid so I waited about 45mins for them to figure it out even after showing them all the proper confirmations. Upon finally entering the room I was disappointed with the condition of the room. Bathroom was in desperate need of an update, the sheet had a dead insect on it and the bed/pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. The security for the room was literally a padlock that you can only lock from the outside. From the inside there’s only a hook to close the sliding doors. Also, we scheduled a taxi to the airport for check out, and agreed on a price. Upon checking out we were given a receipt demanding we pay 100thb more than than the agreed price. All that said, the pool was decent and if you just need a place to crash close to the airport for a night then Sasitara will suffice. They did give complementary water though, so there’s that.

Sasitara management need to do major renovation

-need to upgrade and major renovation in all their room especially near to the pool due to water licking during raining season. -need to upgrade aircond as well because its too old and sometime feel hot and sometime feel cold at night. -the room is so confortable, calm, spacious and quite -i love the green environment it feels like a 5*resort. -need more breakfast choice for halal food, maybe omelette cheese with onion. Since we don’t eat meat, chicken and pork. -the swimming pool is great with provided pink flaminggo and white goose. - the staff is very friendly and helpfull. - Close the window during evening as the mosquito will be your friend if you open the window. - rent motorcycle or car if you wanna go to Chaweng beach (about 15minutes) and it is more cheaper then use taxi if u stay longer. Cheaper 150bath, medium 200bath (motorcycle) - Overal, i love to stay there.

Think one thousand tume before booking this hotel Sasitara Residence. I booked the hotel through Hotel dot com. Yesterday evening at 8.30 pm I along with my family check in. The reception girl allowed us room no 104. We keep our luggage in room and went out for dinner. When we return back to room, we found AC was not working. It was around 10.00 pm, we ask reception girl for change the room, but at start she refused to change the room, but after some hot arguments she agreed to change to give another room. Today morning at 7.30 am, we found toilet flush is not operating, again I called reception girl and she tried her best to get it working. The morning breakfast is not up to the mark. It was again height of hospitality as when we come back at 9.30 pm we found the room was not cleaned, no house keeping at all. It was really shocking, again we requested reception for house keeping, first she refused but when I asked for refund so that we can change the hotel, then she changed towels and toiletries. This is very bad experience to me and my family. Most of the time I book my hotels through Hotel dot com but this becomes most horrible experience. Out of three nights booking, this is our second night, I don't know what will be the experience of third night. I request hotel dot com to refund my third day booking amount so that I would like to shift my family to another hotel. And massage for those, who wanted to book this hotel, think one thousand times before booking this hote

Beautiful bungalow in paradise

First of all let me say I absolutely adored this beautiful place. My little bungalow was beyond perfect and it really felt like home. However, the service and hospitality of the reception office is unlike any I have seen. My phone was stolen at the full moon party (nightmare) and not only did they let me use the computer to locate it the manager, Jee, literally drove me to go get it! I would be so lost without my phone she really went above and beyond, she saved my entire trip and I cannot even begin to express my gratitude. Thank you a million times to Nan, Dream, Yom, and Jee. This is somewhere I would recommend to any traveler, beautiful place, great location, and beyond exceptional service. Thank you thank you thank you.

Lit up like a Christmas Tree

My room was next to the swimming pool which was lit up all night, the curtains do not fully close and are not black out curtains so my room was lit up like a Christmas tree all night.

Overall nice and comfortable

Very nice accommodation. Large bungalow, good AC, nice pool. We paid for breakfast buffet but our flight left early in AM, they were not able to make food any early unfortunately. But still accommodated us and had toast and juice ready for us. Taxi to airport very expensive (300 baht) so cheaper to walk and find your own (80 baht would be lots). Overall nice and comfortable.

Stayed in this hotel for 30mins. Stunk of cigarettes smoke. Made me feel sick! The hotels response was room keeping will spray airfreshner! I walked to the neighbouring hotel and luckily I was able to pay for another room for 3 nights.

No hot water for the shower, shower barely has any pressure just dribbling water out. Pillows were massive (1 per person) and made for very uncomfortable for sleeping. This place is fairly good, but small comforts would go a long way, for returning customers. Sink flow out pipe (underneath sink) is broken and if you lean on sink the pipe pops out letting all the water run onto ground (informed staff). Pump for swimming pool was broken, located right next to our room, waking up to clicking sound every night, informed staff, but nothing was done about it.

I would definitely avoid this place

We arrived around 11pm and found the lobby to be dark, and locked. After shining out phone lights around the exterior door for a while, trying to figure it if we were in the right place, someone opened the door. This man did not speak English. After some hand gestures, and showing our passports, he was unable to find our reservations. He called someone on the phone, had me talk to them, and then attempted to locate our reservations again. This process took around 30-40 minutes. It was now around 11:40pm. Eventually, this guy just gives us the keys to a room, and says "come to lobby at 7".....uhh yeah right. We are going to get some sleep. Made it to our room and found out that the door didn't even secure. It had been forced open in the past (see photo). I wouldn't leave any valuables here. Checked out in the morning with no issues and didn't look back.

Bad Service & Communication

We were changed to another hotel at the last minute (less than 24hrs prior to arrival) as they couldn't accommodate us. (1 room for 2 ppl) not a big group. we were unable to communicate with them as the emails bounced and no answer on their phones the hotel we got moved too was not even a 1 star. & we paid for 3 star service. Never again
