We stayed in a pool villa which was incredible. The food outlets, pool and beach are top notch. The spa was perfect, and my massage incredible. Our villa host never reached out but since we were only there for two days it was ok - but suggest they figure that service out.

Fantastic experience, would definitely return!

We had an incredible experience with Anantara. From the cleanliness of the room, to the kidness of the staff (including a free upgrade to the pool villa room) we really enjoyed our stay. As a vegetarian, I was slightly nervous about the breakfast options, but there was so much available to us and the staff was really accompdating and let me know what else they could give us. If you dont mind walking, it is a 20min walk to Chaweng beach and night market which is also beautiful. I would reccomend it to those that want to have a perfect stay, not living in the hustle and bustle, but close enough that you can walk there/take a tuk tuk if needed.

Thai Hospitality at it's finest

We LOVED our stay here for our little family. We were thankfully upgraded thanks to our gold status on the VIP program. We got a pool villa with a swing which the kids LOVED. The customer service is 100% the highlight of this resort, wow everyone was so friendly, checking in on our activities. I am not sure if this is a usual Anatara thing, or a Thai service thing but we definetly want to check out future Anatara properties. Food was great, included breakfast was amazing we also did the cooking class with the hotel which we highly recommend.

We stayed at the Anantara in April this year and it was one of the most incredible stays we have ever had. The property itself is gorgeous (literally a slice of paradise) but what made it most special were the staff that worked in the hotel. From remembering your favourites at breakfast to helping you round the pool they really made you feel special. The client facing staff (Puyfaii, Khai, Ton, Irene, Pop etc.) were so lovely and made us feel at home but I know there were many non-client facing staff in the background making the experience fantastic. The food at the hotel was also extremely good. Typically we wouldn't tend to eat in hotels but this holiday was an exception and we found ourselves eating in the hotel more often than not. We ate at all of the hotels restaurants including cocktails at the Singing Bird Lounge & the Tree Tops experience (our waitress was fantastic) which we would highly recommend. The hotel is well located as well making it possible to go on tours/ experiences across the island. We did have a pool suite which we would highly recommend (especially in peak season) as sometimes it was difficult to get a sunbed round the main pool but hopefully we haven't left you in any doubt you should stay here!

Great property what you see in the pictures is what you get. I booked private villa and it was exactly as in the pictures. The pool was reasonable sized, some other villas seem to have bigger pool too. Great service too. Despite the villas being a bit secluded the in-room dining was quite prompt. Overall we got the relaxing holiday we wanted.

I had an amazing stay at Anantara Lawana in a Pool Villa Suite — the perfect mix of luxury and privacy. The villa was beautifully designed, with a serene private pool and elegant Thai touches throughout. Staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The resort’s beachfront location is stunning, and breakfast with an ocean view was a daily highlight. Ideal for a relaxing, high-end getaway in Koh Samui. I’ll definitely be back!

The staff were excellent and made the experience:) The Thai food was good and so were the seafood options. However, the in room dining experience was not as good. The spa was overpriced and the service was not up to mark - massage was mediocre and so was the facility. The garden view suite was dark and dingy. Bathtub was not usable (made of stone, with stains) and it gets noisy at night. Otherwise, the basic amenities were present. The property can do with some refurbishment as it has the potential to be so much better. Ultimately, the experience was still pleasant overall.
