Nice hotel, good value, friendly staff. The only downside was the insistence of taking a £50 deposit which makes no sense when the room was prepaid and if I’d had a meal or a drink I’m sure I would have been asked to pay for it. What made it worse it that it took over a week for the deposit to be refunded despite being assured that it normally happens on the day of departure.

Spotless. Comfortable bed and very pleasant room. The staff on reception were outstanding, especially the one lady who chatted to the six of us in the bar. She was lovely. The barman gave us good tips as well. Would stay here again as good position to stroll around town and visit the city library.

Very nice hotel all round. Would stay again but will remember my toothbrush next time. £3.50 for a disposable! Never been charged for anything like that before in a quality hotel. Just a small thing folks.

Difficulty adjusting the thermostat. Worst little TV remote I’ve ever had to figure out. Never did completely figure it out. Couldn’t turn on the towel warmer. Some soap by the bathroom sink would have been helpful. Spectacular ceiling in room 501. The internet connection was not secure. Could not read or send email. My provider said the connection was insecure.

Provided 1st flr. room overlooking interior enclosed 'alley' where nearby/next door restaurant stored numerous trash bins, metal beer barrels. Throught evening (room not soundproofed) regular dumping of bar's glass bottles into bins. 1st am: 5am, more bottles dumped, scraping of bins being moved Each evening dumped glass ended after 11pm. Last 'night' worst. Unfortunately given this inferior location for FOUR night stay. From 11pm until 1 am CONSTANT dragging, removal of several bins. Note this 'yard' contained SEVERAL large, oversized bins. Not sure why man removing bins had to drag out job for 2 hours. Anyway, would not stay again when return to Leeds in December. If book, see if they plan to place you interior with view of storage alley. You also are subject to muffled 'conversations' from bar. Avoid interior if wish to sleep. TV kept on pretty much drowned out bar noise. Glass & bins like just outside window, tv useless. Note too: staff act surprised when noise brought to att'n.

Booked this hotel very last minute, due to another Hotel/Hostel (RS Hotel Leeds) informing us our booking had been cancelled even though we had all confirmation details and was still active....all this when you're checking in at 4pm to head to a concert at Leeds for 7pm start. In panic on Sat afternoon needed a hotel in the centre and found Quebec on Expedia, just round the corner from where we were. Booked and walked to the hotel, even before they had confirmation of the booking. Staff allowed us to wait in bar area whilst the confirmation came through, and then upgraded the room for us, just what we needed after stress from RS Hotels. Can't fault the hotel, the staff or the area - location is perfect. Thanks Quebec you rescued our weekend in Leeds.

Not a great experience. Upon arrival we were allocated a room that had not been cleaned. Had to return to reception where we were left standing around for 10 mins whilst staff were trying to work out what had gone wrong and the allocate us a different room. No offer to wait in the bar area with a cup of tea or something- not really the level of service I’d expect from this type of hotel.

Wonderful welcome as ever, kindly upgraded by the Quebecs team to a wonderful room. I love this hotel and stay periodically. It’s got an old school charm and feel which I love. The decor is classy, if in need of a bit of love given the age of the hotel. My last stay unfortunately was plagued with noise externally which was beyond the hotel’s control. Late night cleaning of the bar next to the hotel and bottles being emptied into large bins, then around 4.15am I was woken by a large articulated vehicle’s reversing announcements and then further bottle emptying of bins, crashing and smashing. Such a shame as the hotel is wonderful but my sleep was quite disrupted.

Quebec’s is a stunning red brick building dating back to the early 19th Century with ornate carvings and beautiful stained glass windows. Inside, sweeping staircases and chandeliers give a feeling of grandeur. Staff were extremely helpful on checkin. I had a standard room which was large and decorated nicely in keeping with the traditional feel of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and sheets smooth. The en-suite bathroom was clean with a powerful two headed shower over the bath. The TV was small but had plenty of channels to watch. Tea and coffee making facilities contained generous quantities of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits and there were two bottles of water by the bed. There was also a well stocked mini-bar which was chargeable. Would I stay again, definitely!
