Dear Reader, Please read other reviews about our property and see within those reviews, comments written that often recommend myself and my staff. However I will address the comments left in this review. I was awoken at 2.00am by another guest complaining about a loud diesel engine making a lot of noise. As 70% of Merrima Court's bedrooms are at the back of the apartments their windows face the reception and garage area. I heard the noise myself and said to the guest on the phone i would investigate. Our garage clearance is 2.0 Meters. Surfboards on the rack on the vehicle exceeded that height. No problem if they turned their engine off. I showed them how to work security on the lift and walked them to their apartment. The next morning the late arrival came to the office and said I had put them in a 2 bedroom apartment and they had paid for 3 bedrooms. Please understand that if i had made that error, the guest would have rang Expedia/Wotif and Expedia/Wotif would have found them alternative accommodation to equal or exceed what they had paid for if I couldn't provide to my guest what they had paid for. Expedia would have then debited that amount to my account. At this time of the year that could run into thousands of dollars. I reprinted the original booking, and showed the guest the mistake was hers, she had booked a 2 bedroom and paid for 4 guests. I didn't laugh at her. I was relieved the mistake was hers. She said the 7 would sleep anywhere within the apartment. To which I advised I couldn't allow that, my consideration was the fire safety rules and limits plus what the owners of the apartments allow. She said, they had other family around the area and that a couple of the kids could stay with them. To help this guest, I hired and paid for a rollout bed to allow the 5th person, legally allowed to stay within the apartment to have a bed. I had my partner, who manages our housekeeping take the rollout and place it in the apartment, Until I read this review I didn't know that there was nobody in the apartment when she took it up there. Thank God the review didn't say thousands of dollars of electrical equipment and jewelry was missing! We were just trying to help out. Wow. In todays sad Covid situation to believe any manager would laugh at a guest in a dilemma is unthinkable. I believe that was written for effect. Hi, When you book an apartment named, 3 Bedroom Limited View, Older style apartment, you expected a modern apartment with a great view? I really don't understand that! If you were happy next door, why didn't you rebook? I can only think its because the apartment you booked with us was so much cheaper, because it was a limited view and older style. You get what you pay for, My better apartment, with views and more modern sell for a higher price, surely thats logic. When you were on Expedia and saw different prices for different room types, for example 3 Bedroom Modern apartment with Ocean Views, you didn't think to book that to ensure a view?
