The only complaint I have was that the card keys were deactivated everyday. We had to walk to their other facility to get the cards activated since the lobby is closed at 6pm. Very inconvenient!

Gem on the ocean

I loved this hotel! Will definitely stay here next time we visit. Hotel is right across from the beach and the walking path. Next to a restaurant, so we just walked around in the evening. We arrived early and the employee that checked us in was terrific. Our room wasn't ready, but he gave us regular updates while he recommended we wait by the fire pit. Very kind and helpful. The room was clean and simple, but clean is always my priority. It had everything we needed, plus a fireplace! We spent extra for the ocean front upstairs is it was well worth it. We spent the afternoon reading on the balcony while watching the waves. It was beautiful.

Screen door needs to be replaced, we suggest an upgrade of the ceiling fan and plastic cups should be provided for the bathroom. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Lobby at the hotel was closed and we had to another hotel to check in with not so welcoming reception. The bedding sheets were dirty and seemed that weren’t changed from previous gusts. The phone didn’t worked , so we had to go to other hotel reception requesting service.

Almost Perfect

Everything about the room was pretty much great. I could tell it was newly refurbed (still had a 'new' smell to possibly the flooring). Everything was clean and in great condition, with THE VERY NOTABLE EXCEPTION that the shower did not work. I regard this as a major drawback. However, we did not notice it until it was late in the evening, at which time there would have been no one at the front desk any longer (it is not staffed after 6 pm), and it seemed too late in the evening to call the proprietor at the sister property down the street. Since we were only staying for one day, we just went without. I did tell the person at the front desk about it the next day. I'm guessing that when the room was redone, the contractor forgot to reopen the water line to the shower? Everything else had access to water (sink, toilet). Other than the shower issue, everything was wonderful: clean, quiet room with possibly new paint and laminate flooring, perfect bed and pillows, great location right next to a lovely eatery, a beautiful ocean view with two comfy chairs in our patio and the TV and wifi worked perfectly. Shower issue aside, I would be fine with staying there again, but I would definitely check to make sure everything worked as soon as soon as I get my key (and before the front desk is closed).

Gas smell upon walking into the room. Went to shower and body wash container was empty. Very hard to find an employee and when I did and asked for body wash they still never provided it. Spa had a layer of dirt in the bottom and the fiberglass is coming off and stuck into my skin. Wouldn’t stay at the property again.
