The room was tidy but the floors needed mopping and the sheets had stains. The hot tub was absolutely disgusting. It was yellow brown water and smelled like dirty homeless folks clothes had been soaking in it. No one could use it and when I checked out on Sunday November 2nd, the man at the counter argued with me and made every excuse he could think of instead of just saying... im sorry the hot tub wasnt clean, I'll make sure its addressed. He had the nerve to tell me he had seen it and tested it that morning and it was "up to par"..... but then a minute later said it is " self cleaning" but it never gets the chance to clean itself because people are always in it. I wasn't looking for anything for free.... I was just truly disappointed for mine and the 5 other families who wanted to use it. We will be staying elsewhere next time.

We love staying at the Silver Surf! Rooms are very clean and we love the high ceilings with ceiling fans. The window shutters are great too! (Only issue was our tv didn’t work- but fortunately it was not a big deal since we didn’t have anything we really wanted to watch anyway.)

HOST WAS POLITE. CHECK IN EASY. ROOM CLEAN, BUT THEY STILL HAVE CARPET, WHICH IS SUPRISING THEY DIDNT REMODEL WITH LAMINATE FLOORING. WE WOKE UP TO NO POWER, SO COULDNT GET READY, NO CALLS FROM HOTEL LOBBY TO ADVISE. TVS ARE A PAIN TO MANAGE TOO. BUT INEXEPENSIVE WAY TO STAY BY THE OCEAN. ROOMS HAVE STRANGE DECOR AND PAINT CHOICES CONSIDERING IS A BEACH HOTEL, BUT IT WAS DECENT ENOUGH. THEY HAVE RACOONS TOO, WE MET A FAMILY IN THE HALL GOING THROUGH GARBAGES. NO FRILLS, BASIC SIMPLE STAY.

Internet doenst work very well, complete dead zone for cell phones and their internet is horrible keeps throwing you out. No air conditioning just a heater that wont turn off. Our door 134 wouldnt open unless you put forces into it.

Room was clean and comfortable. Neighbors were good. For the most part it was quite. I would go back to this hotel. Only one bad thing when I called about 4:30pm, to confirm my reservations the front desk clerk was a little rude. When I asked her name, she said it was "the front desk." I guess I would not want to give my name if I was rude either. :( I had 2 reservations for that day Oct 18th. I went to the Cambria Scarecrow Festival.

I don’t believe the room has ever been mopped. The floors turned our feet and socks black. I took two wash rags and got them wet and cleans the bathroom floor myself and when I took them to show the staff the only thing they said was we don’t appreciate guests ruining our towel. I included a picture of the wash rags used to clean the bathroom floor
