This property needs a face lift. Everything was, at one time, leading edge and in vogue (carpeting, not much lighting, heat from the fireplace, etc). Now, it’s just tired. Despite that, it’s a very acceptable place to stay. Be aware there’s no AC. Fans but no air conditioning.

The BD is one of many seaside hotels on Moonstone Beach, a very nice place to stay in general. The room I was in was clean and had a kind-of-an-ocean view (really, only the few rooms on the road have a real view). It was clean, roomy for me (I was alone) and the walk along the boardwalk made my mornings.

Booked last minute. Ground Room/patio has the view of the ocean but we wish cars/trucks didnt park right by the room blocking the view. Property needs to put a sign otherwise it defeats the “ocean view” and they charge $$ for it. Otherwise, we had an excellent stay. Good location. Nice clean quiet simple room right by the boardwalk. Small property.

Boardwalk surf heaven

This property is listed for adults only. It’s located directly across the street from the boardwalk next to the ocean. A couple very nice restaurants on this row of motels. Highly recommend for a quiet get away.

The Blue Dolphin was amazing! Beautiful room, friendly & professional staff, and delicious breakfast delivered to our room. Incredible sunset views around a fire pit, and delicious dinner restaurant within walking distance. We will be returning!

Fantastic property - the location is the real sell here, and arguably the best hotel on the front here. My only really recommendation would be breakfast - the choice is limited (effectively just a egg and ham burrito that’s not edible for a European) - perhaps teaming up with the local French bakery to offer some of their fantastic treats would give an option that’s easily added to the choice? Regardless - we don’t come for the breakfast and will come again anyway.
