Had hoped for something in room or on door for a 60th birthday I pre-wrote about at booking but nothing. The resort was nice but didn’t have great view or privacy on first floor. Having bikes & kayaks available is a very nice perk. Renting a scooter for the 4days made it easy to get to Duval St. We didn’t use the resort transportation. I stumbled upon yoga at pool once but it was almost over. Instructor was good. More activities throughout the day and night would be great. It would be helpful if resort informed Expedia/all guests a week before arrival of amenity options details and price. I booked a scooter on my own from home and felt I overpaid by 100. but didn’t know the concierge could’ve arranged and for less. Planning starts at booking not arrival. Both years stays room booked wasn’t ready on arrival so I settled for another one ready now but not what I wanted. Going on a boat even once would’ve made stay special. Even a meet n greet daily 3p or 4p boat ride for 30min would make your place on the water really special to stay at. Friendly staff and clean modern rooms.

The front desk General Mgr upgraded us from an oceanview King Standard to an Oceanview King Suite, but the view of the ocean was more of a view of huge container tanks. We were told that the move will take place at 1-2p, unfortunately, the upgraded room promised was not ready until 4pm, so we moved to an alternate room because we were already packed and didn't want to waste our day. On another day, we were told by dining staff to rush in 3 minutes because breakfast ends at 11a; however, 2 days later, we entered the dining room at 11:20a, and 2 dining servers told us that we could not be served lunch yet. We waited until 11:45a for a server to take our order. It was very strange! The water pressure in our bathroom was poor and the carpet and shower tiles were soiled in the upgraded room compared to the original room. The elevator closest to our room was out of service even after 4 days. 18% gratuity is automatically included at their restaurant. Pluses: the resort is nice and relaxing with an accommodating friendly staff. The cushions in the pool areas were soiled. Yellowfin is the only restaurant with delicious food and nice views.

Upon check-in we were told our room was ready. We proceeded to our room only to find it was not ready. We were then told it would be ready very soon…3 hours later we were notified it was ready. On our 3rd day we spend the day by the pool and paddle boarding. We returned to our room at 3:40 only to find our room had not been cleaned. No towels, soap, water, coffee. My husband went to the front desk and they sent someone up to clean. The very same thing happened the following day. It seemed to be no big deal to hotel staff or management. I work in customer service myself and this to me is unacceptable considering the type of resort this is. While we loved our stay in Key West unfortunately we will not return to Oceans Edge. We do want to say thank you to Patrick, Jon and Nadia, they by far exceeded all expectations. The front desk and housekeeping staff needs training!

The property was beautiful. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room and accommodations were wonderful. Enjoyed the convenience of the concierge services as well as the shuttle. Everyone from the bellmen Sam to the shuttle drivers were friendly and made the time spent on property a joy.

The resort was nice and we enjoyed yoga. Most of the staff acted like robots doing a job. The desk clerks, especially cladie were not good. We had a credit card snafu in the end so after spending thousands of dollars, we were treated like criminals and threatened with jail. It was only for 500. This was rectified. But before it was, the made me sit in the lobby like a child. We had spent much more exponentially before this but this particular clerk spoke rudely and condescending to us. She kept printing out the receipt for us as though we were uneducated hicks. I have a PHD and while this makes me no better it doesn't justify being talked down too. I wouldnt recommend this resort to anyone and my friends changed their minds about staying here in January. Room cleaning was sub par...not thorough. The one bright spot was the concierge who repeatedly apologized to us for his colleague's behavior. He was clearly embarrassed. Do yourselves a favor...unless you have a ton of money, which most hardworking people do not but deserve a vacation, find ither lodging..maybe a motel 6. I wont ever go to Key West again because ofvthis absurd little personage and the antics.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oceans Edge. It was a beautiful relaxing oasis for us to spend a few days. The weather was not great (windy & a little chilly) so we couldn't use the paddleboards or kayaks. The food at the restaurant was delicious and we ended up eating there for almost all our meals. Delicious drinks as well.

Hated this place. First, you have to drive through threatening trailer parks to get here. Second, it’s next to a military base where the Jets can make it seem like the walls are shaking. Third, the rooms literally stink, like a musky, moldy smell. Fourth, there was long hair on my towels, being I’m bald, pretty sure the towels were dirty. Finally, and most of all, there was a $60 resort fee that Travelocity did not disclose to me. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Beautiful place and friendly staff. About 15 minutes from Duval and they have transportation to and from for you free every hour. The only thing I would say is just keep in mind the daily resort fee is about 57.00 with tax and parking is around 29.00 a day. It does add up.

If you book Oceans Edge through hotels.com or Expedia expect a resort fee & parking fee before booking. These extra costs are not included with your online booking which is misleading to hotel guests. The staff at Oceans Edge worked through this misleading situation which caused a lengthy check in process. I didn’t plan to spend the extra money on these fees.
