BAD... Ritz-Carlton Prices, Holiday Inn Experience - Avoid This Overpriced Disaster...
I stayed at the Casa Marina Curio Collection from March 14th-16th for a friend's wedding, booking two rooms for my family. Let me be blunt: this hotel is a monumental rip-off. They charge Ritz-Carlton prices for a decidedly Holiday Inn experience.
For two nights, I paid a staggering $2,366.50 for one room and $1,846.71 for the second. Add to that additional resort fees and $48/night for valet parking, and you're looking at a truly outrageous bill for a mediocre stay.
The rooms were average, the bathrooms cramped (roughly a 6'x5' box), and the beds unremarkable. No welcome amenities, just two cheap plastic water bottles. Where's the promised luxury?
The food and beverage experience was equally abysmal. A $27 Old Fashioned, served with chip ice and an orange wedge instead of an expressed peel, was amateurish. A $30 salad was essentially a glorified Wendy's chicken salad. They clearly have no idea what 5-star quality entails.
This hotel's 7.0/10 Travelocity rating and 3.9/5 Google rating are well-deserved. Management needs a serious reality check. They are exploiting the 'Curio Collection' name while delivering a profoundly underwhelming product.
Save your money and find a hotel that delivers on its promises. This place is a masterclass in overpricing mediocrity. Avoid at all cost.
