We were very impressed! The rooms have all been redone and are very nice. We had a kitchenette room, which was so convenient. The room had a microwave toaster and dishes. There is laundry on site for $2 a wash and $2 to dry, this is key because stuff mildews quickly in the humidity. I would say at times the room smelled a little musty, but once I realized it was the shower curtain not drying out it was remedied quickly. Staff was friendly and helpful. There are bikes to borrow. I’d say the beach is not very swimmable and has a strong shore break - but next door at Lae Nani there’s a great beach. Overall, I was really impressed and would return!

Outstanding,vibrant, relaxed, fun vintage vibe here with all the conveniences, and a staff that has exceptional, friendly customer service skills. I normally stay at a much larger more expensive hotel, or local Vrbo, however, I saw the rating was exceptional and I had been to the on-site restaurant lava lava to eat previously & had loved the vibe then so I thought I would try it out. I’ll be back over & over! The value is amazing here, as well as the beach location, central island location, room, views, amenities & perks. There are so many hidden perks here! Free Valet parking, free bikes, endless free vintage Photo Booth pics, nightly live music that’s easy on the ears, great restaurant, clean pools & jacuzzi, outdoor games, ocean front swing, 5 min walk to the south is a picturesque cove as if out of a movie scene, very nice 8 mile bike, running, walking trail along the ocean, 5 min bike ride to Kauai Juice! Lovely open air lobby with fun seating, board games, computer area. Free yoga & 30 min to goat yoga in Anahola! Multiple fire pits, outdoor games like bags. Lava Lava restaurant is literally beach side. 5 min to Longs Drugs for anything you need & 20 min to the airport! This is an incredible place for families, but also I saw many young loves here & I could see myself enjoying a single vacay here as well. Thank you to all of the staff here, they clearly work together as a team in your best interest for the best vacation ever.

The pool and the beach were wonderful! So beautiful! Staff was great. Food at the restaurant was very good. The only reason I'm not giving five stars, is that there is no elevator, and we had a hard time dragging our suitcases up and down the steps.

This hotel is simply the greatest value on Kauai with the nicest staff, well-kept rooms and grounds, beautiful ocean-front location, and communal feel with guests coming out nightly for dinner and drinks at the Lava Lava Restaurant. This will be my go-to hotel when I return to the islands.

Beautiful grounds with ample green spaces and immediate access to the beach. Very easy to relax and talk story with family and others staying here. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful (Novella at the front desk gave us the heads-up on the all-island high school graduation day and the expected traffic jam in the afternoon and evening). Rooms were competitively priced and fit our style and budget; the free valet parking and regular parking was a huge plus! Coconut Marketplace and Island Country Market is next door for grindz, shopping, and all other conveniences; plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and regular shopping throughout Kapa'a town. It is centrally located on the island, so it was easy to drive north to Hanalei and south and west to Po'ipu and Waimea Canyon. We're looking forward to a return trip! Mahalo nui.

Loved the place. Coffee and reading with the waves on view. Daily morning yoga with the view and sounds of the ocean was a wonderful bonus as well as the refillable water bottles and stations around. Pool and hot tub were nice. The restaurant was good too!
