We reserved a one bedroom suite with two queen beds and a couch to accommodate my husband and I and our two teenaged children. When we got to our room, we discovered we had been given just a single room with two queen beds, which was not sufficient. The man at the front desk told us that there were no two-queen suites available, but was quick to find an alternative option which worked out fine. The biggest disappointment was that the pool was under construction. Nothing on the website gave indication of this, so other than calling the hotel to ask, there was no way for us to know. We were looking forward to using the pool of an evening, and it was frustrating to learn upon arrival that it wouldn't be an option. The hotel's website should have some indication when the pool is closed long-term! Breakfast was good, the staff was polite and helpful. Overall our stay was nice, we just wish we'd known about the pool.

Our stay was excellent. It was close to everything we were interested in. Hotel amenities were great. Two things we were not as enthusiastic about - the breakfast was very dull (same thing everyday). The air con unit was so loud, it sounded like a jet taking off when it came up. Otherwise, no complaints.

When shopping for hotels, I chose one that was more expensive because I thought it would just be a better experience. That was not the case for this hotel, unfortunately. No pool, no hot tub, and the hotel room looked poorly constructed.

It was disappointing to arrive and find that the swimming pool was drained and not usable, as we had planned on having that available to use with our grandson. That was not mentioned in the link to the hotel through Expedia. The temperature of our room was way too warm and never cooled down enough for comfortable sleeping even though we turned the heating/cooling unit down to 61°. The lobby with the fireplace was nice, and the breakfast area as well. We were not impressed to find a man, who seemed to be connected to someone working in the kitchen or at the front desk, sleeping at a table in the breakfast area with a hoodie pulled up over his head when we went for breakfast our first morning there.

Hot AF

My review is a bit subjective, so take that as you will. My biggest gripe is the lack of climate control. There is only heat due to a boiler system. We were on the 3rd floor and our room was just hot. 75+. We kept a window open (in late January) the entire time but the relief it provided was negligible. When wer wee outside and noticed that most of the other rooms had their windows open as well, so it wasn't just us. It was just uncomfortable. As for the rooms, they were clean. The beds were not queens...full sized at best, even though advertised as queens. They were also very firm and the pillows were thick and dense as well. If you want a very firm bed and pillows, this will not bother you. But two days here left our back and necks stiff and butts sweaty. I wouldn't come back, but the staff was friendly and breakfast good. It was just uncomfortable.
