A truly unique experience. Our gracious hostess, Ms. Fujita, welcomed us with freshly prepared matcha and mochi. The machiya is spacious, spotless, and has very comfortable beds and futons. There are small handwritten cards throughout the house detailing historical information and conservation efforts. The washer/dryer combo works great. The stairs require some agility. The small garden is magical in the rain. It’s a very short walk to either the Omicho market (best seafood!) or the Kanazawa Castle. The taxi ride to and from the station is about ¥1200 (less than $10). Be sure to have the address in Japanese ready to show the cab driver. All in all, we highly recommend this machiya.

A sweet traditional house with a lovely inn keeper who was so kind and helpful during our stay. She even helped us book a reservation at a wonderful sushi restaurant. Great location for visiting all areas of kanazawa on foot!

Hiuse located ideally close to all attractions. This house keep it's traditional charm and same time newly renovated, having local crafts touch with its description which helps to understand history and traditions of this region. 雖然是一座很有歷史的建築物，但保存得很好乾淨清潔而且有些是很新的設施例如電子座廁板。還有洗衣機同時有乾衣功能。 最值得讚賞就是這裏的管家，詳盡介紹室內的設施而且還親手調製綠茶甜品,有什何疑問 一一為我們月心解答。有機會會再來拜訪！
