Check in was easy. Room was fine. Broken tiles in washroom but that’s the only thing about the room that wasn’t good, and let’s face it, that doesn’t have any real impact on your stay. We were advised to bring our belongings in from our car. It seems the area is prone to auto breakins, so I parked u see a light standard. Light didn’t work. Car was fine though. I think they were just saying they couldn’t guarantee car safety. In the end, it was a fair value, with a decent breakfast included

An all around pleasure
I have been working out if town here in Kamloops for 3 weeks. The crew and I have been staying at the plaza. Location is prime, walking distance to save on foods and multiple restaurants and bars. Hotel is charming with an old school feel. A huge shout out to the very friendly and accommodating staff!. 5 star treatment, An absolute pleasure after a hard days work. This is my place in Kamloops, affordable comfortable and quiet. Stayed in other hotels earlier in our trip but glad I found this little gem. Walking distance to the YMCA with passes included with the stay. This is the spot.

Very cold, stains everywhere, ripped lampshades, a bed slanted so bad it would be a acid reflux nightmare. Didnt stay longer than 20 min. Thankfully they owned another property slightly better that i was transferred to.

What a shame as this used to be a beautiful property. It’s now dirty, shabby, drug users shooting up in the parking lot and incredibly noisy. We had to pay 8 dollars a day for parking and didn’t see one security guard the entire time we were there. We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the hospital, and based on the fact we remembered it being fully restored and renovated several years ago. Sadly, those renovations were not maintained. Another downside, no maid service the entire time we were there. We could have asked at the desk and insisted on it, but sometimes it’s just not worth it. On the positive side, the breakfast was better than average as far as free breakfasts go and the attached pub had excellent fries.
