Just returned from a one week stay. Superb location walkable to all major sites. The hotel is in a quiet area although steps away from the major sites. The local neighborhood has numerous good bars, restaurants as well as convenience stores. The hotel overlooks the sea and certainly the room we had with balcony had superb views. The staff at the hotel were excellent throughout. Always available to help out with any recommendations - all of which were great choices. We really enjoyed our weeks stay here.

Convenient location but tucked away and quiet. The kindest staff!! Only cons were small bedrooms, and lack of actual gym - but we spent a lot of time outside so was not so much a nuisance in the end.

We got the best room in the hotel looking out the bosphorus. The staffs are very friendly and helpfull. Just everything you need and the best things are walk to everything's. Sultanahmet is the best place to stay for first time.

Not really a 4 star hotel, more like 3 star at the best. Good location and great staff made the stay satisfactory but the room we had on the top floor was very small. The view out to the Bosphorous was very good. Breakfast was good. Very good room service each day which we don't normally use but did here as this helped with the stay. It needs a good makeover but I understand the economic realities of trying to do this in this economy. Not expensive by any means and so value was good.

Most positive elements were friendly staff and proximity to The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Room was cute but small for the three of us (we travelled with our 14-year-old). Night staff was helpful but had limited English proficiency. Day staff was also helpful and had better command of English. Byzantine little street is cute but a little impractical. We found a nice little restaurant a block away and the Hippodrome and Blue Mosque are only a couple of blocks farther. Nice view out our window of the sea and an ancient wall being refurbished. We asked the evening clerk for a recommendation about live music and were directed to a live show a quick car drive away. The music was canned and the show was mostly belly dancing and some regional folk dancing, which wasn't really what we were looking for.

There are so many great things about this property. I’d start with the amazing staff, so helpful and friendly, accommodating your every needs. The location is perfect for exploring the old city, walking distance to major attractions as well as dozens of restaurants and shops. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and I can genuinely recommend GLK Premier Sea Mansion Suites and Spa for your next trip to Istanbul!

Charming hotel, great location, highly efficient and professional staff. Only quibbles are that the foam pillows are hard as rocks and breakfast coffee is substandard. A Nespresso machine that does not cost extra at least at breakfast if not in all rooms would add a lot, as would daily fresh water bottles. Charging extra for those amenities seems a bit chintzy; I would suggest just increasing the daily room rate by $5 for everyone would more than cover the added costs. View of the Sea of Marmara from our room and the breakfast area is fantastic. Travelers with mobility challenges should be warned that the area, like much of Istanbul, can be a bit difficult to navigate by walking.
