Hotel was very clean and staff lovely. Breakfast was disappointing. Poached eggs overdone and not great bread. Lift was out of action which meant using the stairs. You can hear voices clearly in adjacent room. Lovely sea view.

Comfy and clean

Our room was upgraded if we were happy to climb the stairs as the lift wasnt working which was fine for us. The room was top floor, very clean and comfy bed with great views.

The lift has been out of action for some time due to a major fault , we were e mailed twice before our arrival to warn us of this. Brilliant communication , as we both are able bodied it was not an issue , as we were on the 5th floor the manager insisted he took our luggage up to the room and apologised about the lift issue which we already knew . A very nice breakfast, we will stay there again.

We order food from the restaurant at around 9.30pm to have in the room. We were told there would be slight delay due to a large group in the restaurant. At 10.10pm we rang downstairs and were told it was coming. At 11pm it still had not come and it was too late. So they gave us a sorry and our money back. Very poor customer service to any one, but even worst to someone who was booked in the hotel.

Staff were helpful from the time of booking until we checked out. They offered help with bags on arrival, catered for special requests and were always willing to go the extra mile. Room was spacious, had everything we needed and a great sea view. Dining at the in-house Thai restaurant was good. Great location, ideal for sea front and numerous coffee shops, pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance.

Maintaining high standards

We have stayed numerous times before and the previous high standards are being maintained. The food at breakfast was of good quality and with a good variety of items. The service was also of high quality. We had been advised in advance that the lift was out of action so being on the 3rd floor was a bit of a climb. ( The lift is not likely to fixed until April). The bus stop right outside the hotel provides an easy route into the city centre with regular buses.

My go to Brighton hotel

This is my go to hotel when staying on business in Brighton. Ideally located with an idyllic view of the sea and sunrise. The rooms are perfect and spacious with a hidden gem of a room on Floor 5. Business or for a holiday it’s the perfect location.
