We had high expectations and unfortunately the hotel fell short. Like others we booked for the pool and spa. The pool was out of action, which we were not told about in advance. There was no water in the room. Not enough robes and towels for the number of guests. We ate in the bar but huge delays between courses and although it was a waiter service, it was reactive rather than proactive which created a stressful atmosphere in the room. We went to the bar to get drinks, rather than wait for an order to be taken.

Wonderful weekend break

A wonderful stay here for a birthday weekend of exploring in Brighton. Staff were friendly and efficient, the room was lovely and the breakfast was fab!

An impressive old world hotel that has been well modernised, extremely well looked after. Service was faultless as was the cleanliness. Excellent breakfast with beautiful seafront views. We did use the spa however it is a victim of its own success, far too busy, which led to some cleanliness issues. We decided not to use these facilities for the rest of our 4 night stay. The hotel itself we would highly recommend.
