The metal detector coming in and out of the building and property checking by the officer everytime is a bit much for me. But I do understand why,seeing as how its a poker tournament location in the building it makes sense.

Clean hotel near Houston’s Chinatown

Though this a poker club / hotel, we enjoyed our stay because it’s CLEAN and safe. There is security. There is a lot of theft around the adjacent hotel. The hotel is also adjacent to Chinatown if you opting for a food tour in Houston:

Stay was ok. Not great to be woken up by the smoke detector after a 20 hour drive especially at 2am. The staff (front desk and security) did a great job with rectifying the situation, but I think this speaks volume about basic upkeep of the establishment. The rooms were spacious and staff was very friendly. 5 stars to both. Unfortunately the experience negated any positive views of the place for us.
