Not up to expectations given star rating
To start out with, we booked through Hotels.com and reserved a room with a king sized bed, only to arrive and told that the hotel was sold out and there were only rooms with 2 queen sized beds available. After going back down stairs and speaking with the staff (after waiting 20 minutes due to issues the staff was having with other guests), they were not able to accommodate my reservation even though I reserved it in advance and told me that our room was the only room they could offer due to this inconvenience. This reservation was for my wife and I's 12th year anniversary and I splurged some to come to your hotel so that we could be close to the Texas Livestock and Rodeo event. My goal was to provide her a top notch experience since this hotel was given 4 stars online. Other issues included the rod on the window shades falling off randomly, the restaurant being out of the food my wife ordered, and the constant dripping sound of the shower in the room. The experience we had was barely on level with a motel 6 with a fancy restaurant available. Not worth the money spent in my opinion. Would appreciate more transparency and a better rating for this hotel so I didn't overspend and have a less than stellar experience. Planning on leaving this as a Yelp review as well so others dont make this mistake.
