The Mantra was a really average property and I would not stay there again. We had an ant problem in our room and got told pest control had just been and they would have to get them back. We asked to move rooms and initially they said they couldn't but did accommodate this. The room quality was not the usual mantra standard, the rooms were old, outdated and degraded. The price tag of $400 per night was not consistent with the quality of room. There was no room service, we had the same towels and linen for the whole week. The gym really wasn't a gym, it was a cupboard with a treadmill, bike and one set of weights and in COVID you would never step foot in there. We checked out a day early it was so crap, no staff members even checked up on why. My advice, book early and stay somewhere better. Mantra need to lift their game, update or sell off this property to a different hotel chain.

Where do I start? The ground floor 1 bedroom cave was dated and had almost no natural light (lounge only), and no flow-through ventilation so it got stuffy at night. We couldn't use the sliding door for access as it couldn't be locked from the outside (I miss keys). And making it the guests fault for the room having overly sensitive smoke alarms is ridiculous. Parking is a joke; there's not enough secure parking for the number of rooms, no allocated spots, just a free-for-all. We washed all the dishes before we used them as they all looked and felt dirty. With a 6 night stay, there was no offer to replace linen. We requested clean towels etc after 4 nights, and had to go to reception to get them. Neither of us had a decent night's sleep the whole time as the bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were like logs. On the plus side, the location is great, with lots of dining options nearby and the marina out the sliding door. For the prices charged, definitely NOT worth it. Next visit to Hervey Bay we'll be staying elsewhere. I've stayed in a lot of Mantra properties in various places, and this was the worst experience I've had by far.

There was flies in a room that wasn’t open, the aircon still didn’t work after they changed the remote, high speed fan was actually what you would consider low at home. Very disappointed with the room for the price I had to pay. Won’t be coming back

Great spot, great views of harbour and Fraser Island, very convenient to great eating places and day trips. Very relaxing stay.

Veiw as great and the room size was good wE ordered adjounting rooms 6 month in advance but got rooms on seperate floors the pull out bed badly saged in the middle not good to sleep on

Good location at the Marina close to Restaurants and bars. Only a hanger in the wardrobe, no where to put folding clothes etc except on the shelf under the bedside table. Internet was poor.
