Glamping-Style Cabin at Kerr Lake — "The Lodge"

Escape to a natural setting without the hassles at "The Lodge" at Holly Forest on Heritage Farm.

Enjoy an unforgettable stay in this glamping-style cabin nestled into our 100+ acre farm, a homestead farm focused on natural practices just a quarter mile from Kerr Lake.

Designed with a clear roof looking up to the trees, and large, spacious windows with great views to the surrounding forest, this handcrafted tiny home invites you to pause and reconnect.

THE SPACE
You've never camped like this before! This cosy cabin has everything you need, and nothing you don't. The clear roof provides lots of natural light and immerses you in nature. Relax on the covered porch with a cup of coffee, a good book, or a glass of wine.

• Cell service is carrier dependant (Verizon and AT&T both work great for us)

• Clean, easy-to-use bathhouse

• Plenty of parking space — bring your boat!

• Event facilities available

Note: This a mostly off-grid camp-like experience with limited electricity via large battery packs (provided), a portable AC unit, and no heat (if you full heat/AC in the same rustic setting then book our loft "Serenity Loft", or for a wood-burning heat experience try "Tranquility Cabin"). A misting fan is provided, and ice water can be filled in the base to provide a cool-air experience.

The area is beautiful and a working landscape, which means you may see or hear activities related to agriculture, forestry, and rural life.

Leave your tent and camping gear at home. Simply pack and dress for the weather, bring a sense of adventure, and spend your time dreaming and doing (not packing & setting up gear).

We'll send you our Packing Guide to make your prep simple.

• Sleeps 2 with the provided queen bed; children are welcome, just bring your own sleeping bags to stay in the cabin with you, or bring your own tent to setup right outside.

• Plenty of space for multiple vehicles and boats on the spacious property

• Play pickleball or basketball on the private Sport Court located at Holly Forest

• Wood/charcoal grill with grill grate provided; wood and charcoal available for purchase on site

GUEST ACCESS
Holly Forest is tucked into a corner of Heritage Farm. Water and electricity, The Bathhouse with showers and bathrooms, and parking are located in the common areas. Battery boxes are provided each day for running a fan or charging small electronics as needed.

Our farm is dedicated to natural practices, and learning experiences for all. Depending on the time of your visit, you may find our farm humming with activity during flower season as we tend to our crop (cultivate-flower-co[dot]square[dot]site), or care for our livestock and create our products (Kinda Crunchy Goat Milk Soap). You'll also see us tending to our animals year-round.

Other things to note:
WHAT TO BRING/WHAT IS PROVIDED? — Check our Packing Guide (sent through messages at time of booking, and again 1 week prior to your stay) for our updated list of what we provide, what is available, and what you may want to bring with you for your stay.

BE WILDLIFE AWARE — To help us take care of the local wildlife and make your stay as smooth as possible, please store food, trash, and scented items (like toiletries) in a cooler or the metal dustbin provided at your unit when you're away for the day or turning in for the night. Thanks for helping us keep wildlife safe and your visit enjoyable!

MOBILITY — Due to areas of uneven ground, steep terrain adjacent to Holly Forest, and the delicate nature of the lodging, this listing is potentially not appropriate for those with mobility issues. Golf carts may be available for rent, reach out to reserve one after confirming your stay.
