The property was really breathtaking. Very well cared for and the staff very accommodating. Food was great-we often ate at the bar off the lunch menu. There was sea grass to deal with at the beach as others mentioned. The pools were well taken care off too. During our 9 nights we saw 4 weddings at the resort. Pretty common so know that atmosphere is there. We were fine celebrating our 30th anniversary so it was relatable. The neighboring public beach has less sea grass and clearer water but has been closed since the earthquake. You can still walk the shoreline to it. The area around Guanica is an old sugar factory. Old town, somewhat desolate and run down but a couple great restaurants right on the bay. Super food newer vibe and well done. Trasiego Sea Food Restaurant And El Desafío Bar & Grill.
Great place and great nice folks.
EXPEDIA however was terrible to deal with. Don’t use them to book a trip. They may price out trips at the highest rates, then negotiate discounts for their behalf. The hotel showed what Expedia sent them vs what we were charged. $450 diff. Expedia used to have a price guarantee and send you the diff if the price dropped now they keep it. Just deal with the hotel and save.
