Sandbar Living – Waterfront Grand Isle Getaway

Welcome to Sandbar Living, a peaceful waterfront retreat offering beautiful bay views, private pier access, and plenty of space to relax, fish, and enjoy the Grand Isle lifestyle. Conveniently located just before the Grand Isle Bridge on West Central Avenue, this property sits directly in front of the sandbar, creating a unique setting for families, friends, and fishing groups. The newly completed private pier gives guests the opportunity to fish and crab right from the end section of the pier. Depending on the tide, guests can also enjoy kayaking or wading from the sandbar, and smaller boats may be able to dock at the pier when water levels allow. The spacious downstairs area features a large, well-lit cemented space that is perfect for seafood boils, BBQs, gathering with family and friends, or simply relaxing after a day on the water or at the beach.
Guests can also cross the Grand Isle Bridge by golf cart or side-by-side to access the beach area.
Please note that the private pier does not have lighting for night fishing. The Grand Isle Public Fishing Bridge is also just a short walk away for additional fishing opportunities.
*Newly added amenities in the outdoor shed area provide even more convenience for guests, including an ice maker, an extra refrigerator/freezer, and crab traps available for use.

Family Fishing Trip

Location of property was great! Enough space for everyone to sleep comfortably. Private dock/small beach area off back of property was awesome for keeping kiddos occupied. At the time of our stay washer was not working properly but host brought us extra clean towels right away. Overall the place was exactly what we needed.

Highs and lows

The property was clean, easy to find and had a dock in the water. The washing machine was out of order. There was a VERY loud bar down the road that played music until2 AM making it difficult to rest in a Saturday night. The other nights were quiet. Great downstairs area for hanging out, boiling seafood, and grilling. One bedroom is an add on and looks like it. There was a huge hole in wall.

Great location and clean

The property is in a great location opposite the main island. The sandbar was fun for the kids, and it was nice not having the traffic and busyness of the main island. House was clean and comfortable. We had 6 adults and two kids, and I think we needed something a little bigger for all of us. The washing machine was horrendous and needs to be fixed ASAP. We couldn't wash hardly anything without it banging. Railing outside on patio needs additional slats for child safety. All doors in house need to be replaced due to difficulty closing. Could have used some additional things like cutting boards and pots. The fry baskets were awesome though. Property mgr was slow to respond.

Clean lovely grand isle location

Upon arrival, we were very happy with the location and the amenities. The place was updated and very clean. It was very nice to have a grill and a boiling station. It was also great being on the water can go fishing right in the backyard or throw crab traps out there. The rental agency was very helpful and responsive would recommend and would stay there again thanks, Matt.
