The room wasn’t very clean, the door didn’t close properly, the property wasn’t taken care of, there weren’t enough parking spaces, and there wasn’t a person present for check-in - I had to check-in via a remote individual on a computer screen which required me to stand with my back to the door. I didn’t feel safe at this location.

The motel utilizes AI chatbots (robo receptionis) instead of staff. That was not a problem until I found out at 5:00 AM that my toilet was clogged from the light use. The chatbot fix was to show me an image of a plunger and send me to local Walmart at 6:00 AM. I got a total of less than 5h of sleep as the previous day I drove 500 miles.

This was the first motel 6 that I stayed in that was not equipped with fridge and microwave. In addition my “queen” bed was actually an uncomfortable full size, two completely flat pillows, and thin sheets in a cold room. They advertised “tub showers “ and in fact was a shower similar to those in prison.

The room was fine for expectations of a budget motel. It was neat and generally clean. Keep in mind that a) this motel is right next to the interstate and b) it's an old building so you will hear (as I did) your neighbors' activities into the wee hours of the night if they choose to do so. I was simply passing thru and needed a hot shower and a few hours of sleep. Used my Expedia points for a very inexpensive night at this Motel 6.
