So much room for improvement

Pros: The beach, the pine trees and the young birds. The staff, Dennis is great and understood our request. Thanks.
Cons: Plenty. The room need to be properly cleaned, and amenities checked. The staff needs customer service and language training.
Location: Good location till there's a traffic accident and you can be stuck for a long time as there's only one road.
The resort location is perfect, beautiful beach and pine trees. However, the place need a big spruce and the staff better customer service training and cleanliness. The safe and mini-bar was not working at all. Housekeeping did not replace laundry bag after i used it. Laundry is so expensive !!! Room service food was served cold and wrongly. It's such a waste.

Beach location

Cons: Fine details of cleanliness in corners of bathroom. Needed a paint job in parts.
Location: Close to food places - good but not great quality. Easy access to transport and to places in north and northeast of island.
Isolated from the main street. Could spend the whole day at the hotel near the pool and the beach. Great staff, pool and breakfast. Grounds are excellent.

great pool, close to the beach

Rooms were clean but definitely dated. The pool was as good as the pictures look, and we could see the beach and pool from our balcony which was great at sunset. Breakfast had a lot of variety but not many healthy options apart from fruit and eggs. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Gym was very basic, two treadmills, a leg extension, lat pull down and some free weights.

Stay was great. Breakfast great variety. Room comfortable except bedside light kept shorting out. Bedside downlighting also flickered. Downlighting over bag area stayed on all night. Other than electrics stayvwas great. Great location close to night market.

We love the Lone Pine.

Pros: Pretty much everything. The pool is large and extremely well kept and the reading area is well stocked and a pleasant cool spot to spend some time.
Cons: Perhaps, being extremely fussy, the tea mugs in the rooms could be a little smaller and not so chunky.
Location: Location is terrific right in the centre of the Batu Ferringhi night market and near the Spice Gardens. Easy access to the city is great. Water sports
We have stayed at the Lone Pine many times and it has always been an absolute pleasure. The peaceful setting amongst the casaurina trees and beach make it a very relaxing holiday. We have found that the staff are friendly and eager to please in every way. The buffet breakfast is fantastic with so many choices. The proximity to a myriad of small local restaurants and markets make it very interesting area and very reasonable priced . We ate at a very small cafe called 'Mormor' on the corner over the road just near the petrol station and found the food delicious and interesting - fresh as can be! The Rapid Penang bus into the city is very convenient, RM2.70 each way

Ideal spot in Ferringhi

Pros: Lovely holiday feel, beautiful pool and grounds. Large comfortable room. Good place to recover from a long flight.
Cons: The reception staff were somewhat disorganised.
Location: Easy to catch the local bus to the national park and Spice gardens and it has a shuttle service to the e&0 in Georgetown.
This is our third visit to Lone Pine. We like the pool and gardens and it is handy to the night market, especially the food court.
