Perfect nights sleep 9th - 10th Decprior to a flight from Gatwick. Efficient, everything required is there in a compact yet roomy space, with complimentary coffee, teas and water. Also a 20% discount in a number of eating services at the airport. Ideally located for flight departures, arrivals and the Gatwick express train. Only criticism, they were not empathic or accomodating upon a drlayed returned flight. I was booked to spend the 18th December there after a lo g flight home, prior to taking the trains, destination the Midlands. My flight was drlayed for 24 hours causing me much inconvenience, i contacted both the Bloc Hotel and hotels.com to request a transfer of date ftom 18th to 19th, I was informed that they would not acvomodate me, i was given no reason, such as fully booked or a price difference.Therefore through no fault of my own, I had a long , delayed tiring flight. Having then to get directly on the Gatwick express to make two train journeys to arrive back in the Midlands and I was charged the £104 for the room, as the cancellation notification was not within their remit. I found this service completely unsympathetic and unprofessional, through no fault of my own!

Friendly and informative about hotel and restaurants (20% off with Bloc keycard) including The Beehive (Wetherspoons) and Giraffe. Only thing to be mindful is doing the chicken run across foot traffic heading into Departures Gates ... But the Bloc is great for a relaxing start or end to your flight.

Location was perfect actually in the airport, it was out the room go downstairs to check in that close! Staff great at check in room was clean had everything needed for a overnight stay before flight

The room was fine as expected, however there was no hot water to the shower, we only found this out when we were going to have a shower at 04:00 before we headed for our early flight. The reception offered another room with a working shower however after spending 10 mins or so trying to get shower we run out of time to leave to catch our flight. Suggest the hotel fixes hot water to room 756 so no other customer has to go through what we did
