The hotel’s location is perfect for seeing the heart of Galway and close to all transportation options. It’s just steps from the train station. The rooms are somewhat dated and could use an update — primarily the bathroom. The staff is very friendly and check in was quick. I appreciate their kindness in merging two separate reservations I’d made (for consecutive nights) and keeping us the same room while also upgrading our stay to include breakfast. The view from our room overlooking the park was beautiful. But what excelled was the restaurant. Breakfast was wonderful every morning. Great food options, all fresh, and the staff is working non-stop to make sure you have everything you need. I also had dinner one night at the restaurant and thought it was amazing. The dessert was one of the best I might have ever had. I would stay here again without hesitation for the location and the dining experience at the hotel.

The Hardiman is excellent location wise as it sits right beside the Galway train station and beside Eyre Square. Staff and cleanliness are exceptional but there are two problems as well. As the hotel is older, there was no soundproofing between rooms. Second, the gym has been out of service for a few years.

The Hardiman is a classic full service stay. With a basic opulence yet casual/friendly in nature. Location was the best in the heart of the best activities in Galway. Music/food/drinks/dance all packed into one small area. We also noticed a young vibrancy to Galway but thats because the most major Universities are there and it shows.
