Wouldn’t stay here again

Location can’t be beat. Lobby area and smell was nice. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Upstairs corridors were dark and had a stale smell. Our room windows would not open and the room was stuffy and the fan had to be run to keep the air circulating. There were several bits of plastic wrap and tissue on the carpet in the corridors which never got cleaned up throughout my stay. Glass window panels on the fire doors were dirty and smudged. Housekeeping definitely needs more attention at this hotel!

Loved this place as it is well situated at the start of the beautiful Latin Quarter of Galway. When we arrived, the first night was a gale force storm. The window leaked from the torrential downpour and high winds. In the morning we discovered pools of water that had come though the windows. The hotel staff informed us that the facility was undergoing a full remodel, so that moved to an another room that had the remodel completed with brand new windows. It’s was just steps away to the historic Latin Quarter where there is lots of shopping, food, pubs and other interesting places to visit. So the hotel’s location is perfect. The hotel itself is nice, clean and being further remodeled, updated. The staff and service were accommodating and warm. Parking is available in a parking garage (Spanish Arch Q park) that is right next door, but be advised that the entry gate and parking lanes are quite narrow and tight. So moderate-to-large sized vehicles won’t be able to effectively use it. We recommend having a small car in order to access and comfortably use it. Overall, we recommend this hotel.

From start to finish it was a wonderful stay at Leonardo Hotel Galway. The parking was convenient and reasonably priced. We were in walking distance of the Aran Islands Ferries, shopping and the pubs. The rooms we booked were comfortable and very clean. There was ample space. We enjoyed our breakfast buffet at the Leonardo. There were many choices and everything was fresh.

The hotel is a great location and the staff were incredibly professional and helpful. In addition, this was the only hotel while staying in Ireland that had air conditioning! I wish the room would have been a little bigger. I would give it 4.7 stars

Give it a sjip.

Very poor experience. €829 for two night in a shabby hotel was not what i was expecting. Twin room for 1 adult and 2 kids, 1 kid put on a camp bed that kept collapsing. Two towels for 3 people and all on a unfinished building site and an extrenly unkempt area.
