Bad management
Our problems were more caused by the hostels management policies. I paid extra to have a refundable / changeable booking and yet 2 days before when we tried to decrease our stay from 3 nights to 2 it was denied by the hotel management. I messaged them directly and no reply, hotels.com agent called, they told him to email and they replied denying the request. They wanted me to cancel the full reservation and rebook with the higher price. Luca on the reception desk was lovely. The rooms were clean but dated, it gets a lot of school / younger groups so it was quite noisy at night. Rooftop is lovely and has a view of the Doumo. They charge 3 euro per bag to hold your luggage. It does have a security guard that’s supposed to check but didn’t seem that thorough or organized. Easy walk into the old town and train station however Overall I wouldn’t stay again, it wasn’t cheap so not worth it.

Place was clean and in a convenient location, if a little sketchy at night, I wouldn't recommend walking alone. The staff were not overly accommodating or friendly, except for the female security guard working at reception who was lovely and very helpful, overall it was fine, nothing to rave about however.

They shouldn’t accommodate people in a room right next to the front desk, the noisy part of the hotel. Crazy loud specially when operating big tours and groups of vacationers. Super noisy, kids running up and down the stairs and aisle all night long

From check in to check out, it was easy. Nice private rooms with comfy beds. Everything was great except for one situation that occurred. Since there’s no fridge in the room, i asked the front desk if i was able to get some ice. Kind gentlemen told me to go down to the kitchen and that they would be happy to give me some. Went down to the kitchen, rude staff tells me no, and to go get some at the grocery store. I mentioned i needed a just a cup and that the stores are closed. He said well that’s too bad but he’s not giving me ice. I went over to the bar to order a drink, i asked the bartender if i could get a bit of ice, he was happy to say yes.. until the guy from the restaurant runs over and tells him no, don’t give me anything. Even the bartender himself told me that he doesn’t know why, but apparently he isn’t allowed and that he is sorry. I don’t know what’s wrong with the guy from the restaurant, but really not a professional service to give to a paying client.
