Flights To Shanghai\n

In a country with 1.4 billion people, having the title of “largest metropolis” is quite an accomplishment. From colonial riverfront houses to Buddhist temples to soaring skyscrapers, Shanghai is a hodgepodge of old and new and Eastern and Western. Are you ready for an adventure? So are we. Book your flight today and head for China tomorrow.

Getting Around Shanghai

Getting in and out of the airport after flights to Shanghai is easy. The Metro has a line that runs from the airport on the main east-west line through the city. Buses run to nearby cities like Hangzou, Suzhou, and Nanjing. Taxis are also an option, but they can be expensive. Want more freedom for less? Check out Wotif’s car hire options and get ready to rule the road.

When You Land…

If your flight to Shanghai touches down in the morning, enjoy a peaceful walk through Yuyuan Gardens for greenery and classical Chinese architecture.

Flights landing in the afternoon are perfect for catching some classic Western architecture on Hunan Road, Shaoxing Road or Hengshan Road.

After dark, walk down the HuangPu River in the Lujiazui District of Pudong to see some of the tallest buildings in Asia all lit up before heading to your Shanghai accommodation.

Live Like a Local

Since you’re “going” to Shanghai, why not take part in one of China’s most famous pastimes? Weigi, the game of Go, has only a few simple rules but plenty of ways to play. Want to see the city through the eyes of a local? Request your very own Shanghai greeter! Greeters are usually college students or other unpaid volunteers who can’t wait to meet travellers, so treat your guide to tea service or a meal to thank them. With Shanghai packages, the sky’s the limit.
