Fiji Flights
You’ve got holiday leave coming up, and a stay-cation isn’t going to cut it this time. Still, you don’t have to think too hard about where to go—Fiji holidays aren’t just for honeymooners and scuba pros. Bust out your favourite beach books and get a head start on your relaxation during one of Wotif’s Fiji flights. Soon enough, you’ll need your sunnies to keep on reading.
Getting Around Fiji
Flights to Fiji will land at Nadi International Airport (NAN), on the western side of the main island Viti Levu. From there, you can catch short flights to anywhere else in the islands. From Port Denaru, near NAN, you can island-hop your way through the Mamanuca or Yasawa Islands. If you’re sticking to Viti Levu, head for the Coral Coast via taxi or bus, or fly over to the capital, Suva.
When You Land…
No matter when you land, hitting the beach is always step one. At many Fiji hotels, you’re already there once you check in! So hop on your hotel shuttle or ferry (or grab a cab)—you’ll soon be relaxing with your toes in the sand. Post up under your umbrella by day or join in a beach bonfire by night. Can’t wait? Wailoaloa Beach is just over a kilometre south of the airport. It doesn’t get much closer than that.
Live Like a Local
The incredible coral reefs on all those advertisements for Fiji packages aren’t exactly a secret, but if you want to get off the beaten path, there’s plenty more to do. In the wild Sigatoka Sand Dunes, you just might uncover human bones and thousand-year-old pottery—just don’t try to take them home, or you’ll be forever cursed. Just kidding! But really, don’t take them home.
Wotif has the best selection of cheap flights to Fiji you’ll find anywhere, and you can count on us to help you plan the rest of your trip too. Crack open a coconut and get searching! On second thought, maybe leave the coconut-cracking to the pros.
