The games room for the kids was always closed. Staff would send us down there but it was never open. The kids wanted to go in and play and to seee what was there. Very disappointing for the kids. If you are going to offer this it should be open when you say it is. They closed the mini golf a bit early as well. We were trying to find out about the float down the river but no one seemed to know any information. It took us about 3 hours to find anything out. None of which was told by the staff. If you are offering this the staff should have information to give people. Everything else was great. Just beautiful views and the weather was great. The rooms are big and it nice to sit out on the balcony with morning coffee. Great to see the deers while having coffee.

Overall good! Staff were very friendly at check in. The room was nice, comfortable bed and having the kitchenette is handy. Requested room clean, but it was not done during our stay. The facilities ( gym, pools, common areas ) are worn & dated. Hot Springs pool was too crowded for our liking, but having the separate resort only pool was bonus.

Summer weekend get away

We had a wonderful time at the resort, the kids played constantly in the pool. Loved the mini golf and park too. My only complaint is the in room coffee is horrible and if the coffee shop would please consider simple egg sandwiches to go. Most of the selections weren’t very healthy or filling.

I have wanted to stay at this property for a fairly long time. It was what I would have thought was a dream thirty years ago. It reminds me a little bit of the resort from Dirty Dancing now. The aging property is starting to show. The bathrooms are definitely 60s with as much updating as they can do without gutting it and starting fresh. If you are going for nostalgic then this is your place. You can see that the new ownership group is investing some money into it. The deck off the restaurant and by the guest exclusive hot pool was being reconstructed while we were there and was off limits. The pools themselves need a bit of an overhaul. They are cracked and quite stained but that would be a challenge to maintain considering the age and mineral content. I have to say my heart was a little broken that the property was so dated and not invested in. I'm hoping the new ownership group will give it what it needs to be classy again with a bit of the nostalgic of mountain retreat.

Resort is great!! Amazing scenery and hot springs/pools are relaxing and also family friendly. Expedia charged me about $60 more than the resort charges for rooms. Found this out at check in so that was unfortunate.
