Came for a business conference. Was able to check in a little early. My room had a beautiful view of the lake. It was very clean and quiet. Jazz band at night was wonderful. The $10 credit for the restaurant and coffee shop was nice. Walking distance to a number of restaurants, cafes and bars, plus the path around the lake. I didn’t have time to check out the museum or other attractions available. Best hotel gym I have seen in a long time! Smith machine means you can’t skip leg day just because you’re traveling.

Very noisy in the corridor during the late night hours (3-4AM). Woke us up several times. Not sure if it was the staff servicing or using the work room across the hall or other guests. Whomever it was, the corridor door they were using was squeaking frequently and they were talking in loud voices. Guest room doors need much better sound gasketing.

Hotel Champlain offered a great view of the lake from where we stayed, but the hotels vistas, room service, and quality of amenities and service were overexaggerated from photos and descriptions. Hotel was not on the water as advertised and area around hotel lacked decent food or ability to enjoy the lake, short of a boat. Room service was particularly terrible, as it is just Styrofoam takeout from a to-go restaurant in the building. Not worth the premium, despite the excellent view

Location was excellent, Staff was friendly enough, restaurants were pretty good, amenities were good. Room was a little small, bathroom a little tight and small but overlooking view was decent. Overall a 4 out of 5. Didn’t blow me away but wasn’t a let down. Definitely an upgrade from the main stream hotels.

Room with a view of river and scaffolding.

The first two days and nights were great! However the third night and following morning had a scaffold parked at our window, blocking our view of the river. Otherwise our stay was pleasant and enjoyable.

The Cafe was disappointing, seating was uncomfortable. The mini fridge kept tipping out when trying to get items out. The room was comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable as well. Walking distance to the lakefront and restaurants.
