Lots of good amenities. Two bedroom condo was spacious and very nice but needed a few upgrades (dining room table bobbled, screen on patio was ripped). Front desk was good about reporting issues and trying to fix things.

Good place to relax

At first, the unit they gave me was very unpleasant. I didn't like the view or the location. I wanted to cancel my reservation, but they offered me a better unit and I was satisfied. It's a very nice place to relax with the family.

Welk resort is about 30 minutes away from where we live and it’s a perfect staycation place to decompress for a few days.Upon arrival staff greeted us with smiles and enthusiasm. In fact all staff members we had the pleasure of meeting went above and beyond to help and they were the highlight of our stay. Welk is a lovely resort with beautiful views all around. We enjoyed relaxing at the pool(s), taking walks and just relaxing. However we were disappointed that there was very limited food / drink options at the pools. And we would have liked to have more cabana rental availability at more of the pools. We had planned to spend a day at each pool but only two had cabanas for rent. Our villa was lovely. Very spacious and nice. However there were several things that needed attention. The washing machine leaked and flooded the kitchen, the microwave door needed to be held shut in order to work, and the shower would gradually get too hot because the handle would not stay in position. There were a few other things as well. We had a wonderful time and we will definitely return for little getaways but the condition of the villa made us think twice about buying in.

The condos are nice for a small family. There is not much to eat on or near the property, so plan to buy food and cook yourself. The property is very pretty and relaxing with lovely mountain views. The staff was very friendly and helpful at checkin - we were able to check in early, but otherwise would be 4PM, quite late. At checkin you get your parking pass from a time share seller, so beware. Other issues to note: many guests at the pools do not take their wet towels with them when they leave, making a mess and also preventing others from using chairs. The main pool with the slide is very busy with children, but other pools are less busy and crowded. The hotel asks you to put together your own trash etc. and also has a 10AM checkout time which is very early. Our condo was overlooking the fishing pond and while we were able to hear wildlife (frogs, birds, etc.) we also had a loud constant noise from the highway because of how our condo was situated. A condo closer to the mountain or other quiet places would have been nicer. Also, a golf hut was below our room and loud golfers would wake us up at 5AM. Overall I did like this property and would stay again, it was peaceful, nice views, and the pool was nice, but be ready for limiting dining options.

We really enjoyed staying here, there are numerous activities for the whole family. Next time, we will bring the kids to enjoy. Great hospitality. We had an issue with someone above us but security handled it immediately.

The villa’s kitchen is nicely equipped. Just bring your food. Walls are very thin. I would recommend reserving a few buildings for adults only. We heard laughing, screaming, crying, and even the conversations next door. King bed, spring mattress, soft. Monday night is farmers market. Tuesday night live music. Wednesday night is a concert you can pay for. We saw ABBA band. Worth the money. Servers pools to choose from including adult only. Close to Oceanside.

Beautiful property, well maintained. We had a 1 bedroom suite on Villa on the Greens. Beautiful view out our patio doors and window! In addition, our room was really quiet and cozy. Rooms are well insulated. Full kitchen and beautiful living room. We really enjoyed staying here.
